  4. billings is a good kick when there's zero pressure in a practice match in february
  5. getting absolutely slaughtered in midfield no one working hard defensively whatsoever
  6. we look a bit lost defensively - the zone defence isn't working
  7. campbell clean around the pack in f50, sharp good hands, snaps truly

  10. campbell starting in the ruck
  11. prefer the bite-sized chunks, eh?
  12. it's not hawks are trying to [censored] it off - they've hit us up, they've hit the storm up, they got nowhere with victory as they had a bigger base ready to go... the lack of expansion opportunity for waverley precludes it from being a destination of choice for any mid-sized sporting organisation
  13. B: Bowey, McDonald, Lever HB: Howes, Petty, Moniz-Wakefield C: Billings, Rivers, Sharp HF: Brown, Turner, Sparrow F: van Rooyen, Jefferson, Chandler Foll: Campbell, Oliver, Pickett I/C: Laurie, Langford, Lindsay, Adams, Hore, Verrall, Fullarton, Sestan, Mentha Jr, Woewodin, Johnson Go to the link ... They forgot to list the selected players in the Team selection page Just listed who IS NOT playing 🤦‍♀️
  14. i've always thought that the game itself might be a better tv-viewing experience than live, as everything is usually in so close and tight with little sweeping ball movement; less even than union or the nfl as a comparison i've never been to a rugby nor nfl game of any variety, so merely speculation
  15. no salem? no mcvee?!? insanity! i'll take this 23 into the premiership... B: McVee - May - Lever HB: Windsor - Petty - Salem C: Langdon - Rivers - Lindsay HF: Fritsch - Turner - Petracca F: van Rooyen - Jefferson - Pickett Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: Langford - Chandler - Howes - Sparrow Sub: Melksham Emerg: Spargo - Bowey - Campbell
  16. this league is always going to be a 'tv game' - they've tried in the past to boost attendance, and the majority of fans don't care; it's about watching the game, as a group with about 55% of the population residing in nsw and qld, they're always going to command good $$ v'landys is smartly spruiking the product for the saudis, who now control domestic sport's fate with their buying into daz n, who are the incumbent rights holders for the nrl competition whether it remains that way after the expiration of the current deal will tell us a lot about how interested they are in retaining the likes of nrl and afl in particular
  17. first battle is making finals second battle is being in good form going into finals biggest battle is fitness and luck when it counts
  18. seems mean and vindictive; too close to 'unco' for my liking
  19. i suspect it must be very hard to know that yr teammates are gearing up to play against opposition and you're stuck in rehab and recovery
  20. also probably shows my vintage (looking 45, feeling 72) that i still call it that
  21. This is why the majority of serious football fans don't take the little paper seriously ... No mention of Jefferson at all? No talk that Sestan has been training as a defender this year? Calling Laurie a small forward when he's clearly much more of a midfielder? Trash paper.
  22. chin, fullarton werre both playing in the intra-club last week, i think? i think all those pre-season returnees should, fingres crossed, be 'right' for round 1 as such the order is really...including Tholtrup who was missed...with approximate return order... Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) - round 4 Judd McVee (hamstring) - after round 4 Koltyn Tholstrup (bone stress) - after round 6 Luker Kentfield (pneumonia) - TBC Shane McAdam (achilles) - 2026
  23. The protected nature of the games probably precludes ppv I think we can expect a LOT tourism advertising
  24. Sounds very similar to Shane Mannagh, who took a little while to settle into the puddy tatts in his first season in 2024 before being an integral part of the team by finals
