  1. pick 2 and 18 for white and 22 they traded pick 2 (brad ottens) for chris bond and pick 21 we used pick 22 to pick troy longmuir who - being a wa boy - inevitably requested a trade 'home' to freo several years later i find it BIZARRE how much wa players some to be desperate to play in their home town
  2. rozee what a monster goal
  3. fwiw i think it's disingenuous to look at players solely by their goals record i don't know if it's available, but is there record keeping for avg. per game of being the targets for i50 kicks? i still the best structure is two talls, a medium tall, three smalls - basically what we played for the majority of last year and where we are clearly currently missing plugger mac as the lead-up player and second tall forward i would wager fritta - who i'd say is our medium tall - would actually be our #1 target i50, but that's just guessing
  4. darcy cameron is so much better as a ruck / forward than a forward / ruck
  5. who'da thought a full-back would play his best footy in the defensive area
  6. based on the bits i saw, laurie looked really good working super hard to get to from contest to contest, and then didn't waste it when he had it jvr's mark and goal from distance superb late in the last quarter of a slog of a game, but i have no idea if his fitness is strong enough play at afl intensity the sort of weather suits dunstan; not so much baker, rivers, hunt etc.
  7. i blame @picket fence for manifesting this
  8. no the only interesting thing about that article is that jon ralph admits that jackson could wake up tomorrow and decide he's staying in order words...he has as much idea as anyone else
  9. yes it did but the double-tall target strategy - gawn / jackson plus tmac / brown is not working any more cos plugger ain't there any more his absence is really noticeable imo
  10. may more often than not takes our kick outs
  11. worked fine in the first 10 weeks we are REALLY missing plugger mac
  12. logue has been very good forward for freo since they moved him there - i reckon he's got more upside than you mcstay doesn't impact contests like tommy mac oh, and in terms of naming them, free agents this year and players who'll go for the same for a new contract at another club who i would take over mcstay - amon from the pear, taranto from gw$ not to mention investing that money in keeping sparrow, jordon, pickett, rivers, bowey over the same time period and spending the $3m across multiple players already on our list
  13. note with interest that you say 'back in wa' not with freo @goodwindees - i presume that means meth coke are very much still in the mix, which suits us more we won't get mcstay @DeeSpencer so forget that - he's 100% off to the filth, and i personally wouldn't want him anyway; better options out there for $3m of cap space over the next 5 years if it's freo i'd want meek and logue as part of the deals, plus two first rounders it's meth coke i want that first round pick in 2022 and would want 2023, but know that we weren't going to get it
  14. 6: petracca 5: petty 4: hibberd 3: lever 2: brayshaw 1: oliver our midfield was terrible tonight yet two of our best play in there...
  15. natural inclination is... IN: Weed OUT: Bedford but let's see how the tall forwards go at casey first and foremost...
  16. we are very fortunate not to be 7+ goals down big last quarter coming up
  17. we should be 5 goals down - lucky that they can't kick straight at the mo if we don't work something out we're going to be split open
  18. weed would've been a better option over bedford from the looks of tonite
  19. another 12 point turnaround - trac [censored] away the i50 and they go clean up the ground for a goal
  20. gotta win some clearances...
  21. may having a barry crocker
  22. haha hibberd was heading the wrong way; sideshow bob sent him the right way ben already having a good game - knows which way we're kicking
  23. because they'd be bringing in a 21 year old rising star winner and two-time premiership player protecting first round picks is to ensure clubs aren't mortgaging their future for the present by trading in blokes due to retire in future years any club can apply for an exemption to trade out of the first round; pretty sure the puddy tatts did it a few years back
