I thought it was his worst game for the year watching it live. Not to say it wasn’t a good game, just not as good as all his others. Just saw the stats, 22 touches, 8 marks and 3 goals. He is in some sort of form if that’s a quiet game. What a beast.

Ordinary tackler, wut? He’s one of the few, like Viney and Jetta, that keep running whilst tackling, rather than instantly drop to their knees. Loved his game today, and last week. Sometimes you just need to bang a clearance forward to keep the pressure on, and that’s what he’s doing. Also gliding across the turf, I thought he was a bit of a plodder. Good vibes with he, Clarry, Trac and Jesse too. So much talent right there.

Has anyone considered Lever is struggling to deal with playing in Oscar’s colossal shadow? But seriously, I don’t even watch Oscar with a critical eye anymore. He’s a good, solid defender who does his job every single week. Anyone still criticising him must forget that the best defenders in the league make mistakes every game. Hurley was touched up by Fritsch and Spargo at times, and Rance was flailing about between Pies kids in their game. Neville Jetta is the only defender to have never made a single mistake in his life.

By far the most frustrating player on the list for me. I would’ve traded him 2 years ago. I can count the games I’ve been impressed by him on 2 fingers. Brock McLean would push him over 50 even now. Takes an eternity to make a decision, thinks he’s Pendlebury in traffic, he’s more Koschitzke, gets caught. Probably doesn’t matter because he wouldn’t hit the target anyway. The sooner he’s pushed out the better. Apart from the above I’m a huge fan.

Essendon are absolute rubbish. Worst defending side in the comp for mine, and seems like they can’t score now either. That said, we still had to beat them, when we were some how playing worse than them. My optimistic view is Tmac should make a huge difference. He did today. He leads, no one else leads at the ball, and he’s a senior player so hopefully they [censored] listen to him and start looking for leads. He just brings balance and is a brilliant forward. I hope his foot holds up because we need him badly. (Can’t believe I’m even saying this or that he was ever a defender) But we need to cut out the fumbling and bombing it anywhere. I’m surprised we’re 3-3 after doing that for 5 and a half rounds. We can’t play any worse, surely. We get more than our share of inside 50’s playing like panicked idiots, imagine if we start playing well.
