  1. Two thirds of his possessions are while he's being tackled anyway. So tagging him won't do [censored].
  2. I'm spewing it cut out there.
  3. 2nd round pick + Jamar and Matt Jones should get it done.
  4. I love this kid. The most composed defender from day dot you'll ever see. Exactly what we need. Crows will be spewing if they lose him and Mitch McGovern, whom I also rate extremely highly and I believe he will definitely go to WA.
  5. Yeah, and?
  6. 83%, the most of any midfielder surprisingly enough. So now that he's mastered disposals and built a tank, let's start asking when he'll add goals to his game. Should have 20 by round 7...
  7. There was nothing down the line.
  8. The topic requires us to look at McCartin's faults to decide whether or not you think St Kilda made the right decision. If he didn't have fairly obvious weaknesses then it wouldn't even be a debate.
  9. I'm in the Bont is elite camp. Pretty much everything he does is to the Bulldogs advantage. You don't need 30 possessions a game to be elite.
  10. No one said instant star. But it's clear as day what's coming with Petracca. Who knows with McCartin. McCartin has been cruelled by injuries, sure. Petracca did have a full knee reco too you know? Maybe why he's not an "instant star."
  11. I thought about them when I mentioned Oliver's first game. The difference is he was in the guts against one of the best midfields in the league. And has continued on.
  12. Age old debate of needs v best available. They went with needs. Not knowing that Bruce and Membry would come on as goalkickers. What they did know was that Petracca has all the talent in the world, and they knew what their midfield did and didn't have and what was developing. When I add all that up they made a mistake. They overrated their midfield. They could have Josh Kennedy at FF and it wouldn't help if the midfield can't get it to him. Petracca is built for the modern game, I'm not so sure McCartin is. Saints would probably even be better off with Trac at FF.
  13. No doubt that helps in the long run, but Oliver had 20+ very good touches and got a rising star nom in his first game as a porky 18 year old. Roos and co are good, but not 4 month miracle workers. Taylor drafted pure talent and it's been on show since. Where the development takes him is even more exciting. As for the the rest of the thread re Trealor, he was easily their best mid the year he left.
  14. I swear he was my cantine lady in highschool.
  15. The slow-mo vision of that handball shown on Access All Areas really shows how brilliant it was. This kid is something else.
  16. " The substance wasn’t revealed." I've heard that before.
  17. Watching Chelsea lately I was starting to worry. Then watching them destroy Everton my fears were confirmed. Hazard is on [censored] fire. Fire Hazard? Groan. ...but it was only Everton. Then I watched Liverpool put 6 past Watford (could've been 10, 11, 12...) and my fear subsided. What a [censored] display! I don't remember a front 3 chemistry like what we have now, ever. Add Lallana to that mix too, blinding form. Some of the best football I've ever seen us play this season, so exiting to watch. Not so exciting was seeing Zlatan and Pogba get their [censored] together, but what a hit by Pogba! I can live with him doing that just once every 3 months. Entertaining season so far, surprised this thread hasn't had more activity.
  18. De Gea would be great but would cost a bomb. Could save a pretty penny and buy Foster from West Brom. Guy is on fire. Honestly blur the picture and I couldn't tell you if it was Karius or Mignolet playing. Both iffy in the air and not confident by foot. At least Karius releases the throw right away. How about that garbage Man U game last week? Bring in Pogba and Ibra and play like Stoke and West Brom 5 years ago. Even West Brom scored against us. Mourinho is the anti Klopp, forget entertaining and playing football, just don't lose, yuck.
  19. @A F how sweet was that Manè goal? Do we ever score boring goals? On the other hand, I'm so sick of giving up scrappy BS goals from set pieces. We've got 4 more than capable defenders now, yet that set up at the corner was just horrible. Still, loving the Klopp era. As I type this City just went a goal down to Southampton, go on with it!
  20. I like Clyne. Until he gets to the corner of the penalty box, and stops, every time. Needs to get more fluid with the rest of the team. Depth is good now though as you say. Milner reckons the team chemistry is the best he's been a part of.
  21. Our defending is getting better I feel. I really like Matip with and without the ball. Nice freebie. The way our passing game is going though, who cares about defending. Old school Brazil style, you score, we'll score more. Milner doing more than a good job at left back, interested to see how that holds up against the better teams. I love Firmino, and Klopp has elevated Lallana. Mané a great buy and exactly what we need. That Man U first half was a bit frightening. Pogba finally showed up, when he gets creative he's a serious weapon. Hopefully they stay inconsistent and Mourinho has a meltdown. Glad Everton lost, just because what's his name goes for them.
  22. Absolutely love him. Me and my mate joke about how he's never made a mistake. He's so clean. Kicked it out on the full yesterday, that could be one mistake, but I'm going to blame whoever he was kicking to for not being able to jump high enough. Exactly the the sort of player we need to, so his development is coming along nicely. Will be another big improver after a good preseason.
  23. Winter is here and it's going to be a long [censored] 9 months of waiting. High Sparrow got his, tiny bit of collateral damage... His nun sidekick might cop a bit of damage too... Can someone please kill Littlefinger S07E01, it's going to be too uneasy with him creeping about. Arya went full Cartman. All I ask for now is The Hound v The Mountain.
  24. Al Swearengen is one of my favourite characters ever. (Sweet cameo by McShane in GoT too)
