You say OTAMOT I say ATAMOT. As for the alphabet backwards, that would take me at least 10 minutes, I just tried and [censored] up after X.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
I think there's far too much focus on this leader stuff, especially when it comes to kids. Not everyone has to be a leader. Not everyone aspires to be a leader. Judd and Ablett jr just had to be because their football demanded it. Steve Johnson and Hanneberry types aren't/weren't what you'd want as a leader but you'd pick them every Thursday. Besides, I think every single kid we've drafted in the last 5 years "could be the captain one day" so Petracca, assuming the Saints are idiots, will have a hard time cracking a leadership gig in our team anyway.

Finally watched The Fall. Loved it. Gritty, old school serial killer action. Really enjoyed it and am now hanging for the second season. Also watching The Leftovers, not sure whether I like it or not but it has me intrigued for now. Bit worried it'll become pointless or absurd or I'll hate the outcome if indeed there is one, but HBO rarely lets me down so I'll stick with it. I enjoyed ep 3. First episode of The Strain was pretty good. Unless you like the new age, pretty, romantic vampires that is.

It's only a one season story, Adam, like True Detective (which is one of the best I've ever seen) so invest away knowing there'll be no sudden and conclusionless ending like Deadwood. One more episode to go and I've really enjoyed it, Billy Bob Thornton has played one hell of a character. I've been meaning to check out The Fall, I will do so once GoT and Fargo seasons finish as I'll have sweet FA else to watch.

The official I love Dom Tyson thread
Yeah that Salem play was brilliant, this is a kid that plays like a man. It's amazing how much joy we can get from drafting and trading, I did not know it can be a good thing.

Haven't have seen many midfielders do that period.

He used to have better hair, disappointing really. I love goal kicking midfielders that contest the ball, lay a tackle 55 metres out, rip the ball from the victims hands, stand up and kick a 55 metre goal off a step and a half.

Yeah I wasn't having a go at you, was having a laugh. And a go at the club for p!ssing away pick 20ish on numerous occasions. At least it was involved in something useful this time.

Yes that's why I'd go back and not do that whole trade if I could. Tyson is ok, but he's no A Maric, Strauss, Blease or Tapscott.

Oh, well my apologies to the fleeing cat then.

Not sure if it's mentioned anywhere but Dom was on the Sunday Footy Show. Very impressive kid, on and off the field. His old mate Damo Barrett was sitting 2 seats away and never said a [censored] word for the whole segment, the gutless piece of [censored] [censored] [censored] rat bastard.

Is anyone watching True Detective? Best TV show at the moment by a long way. Woody and McConaughey are in rare form. In the latest episode, there's the best one-take scene since Old Boy. Brilliant show.

UFC
I agree, it's not the ideal venue for anything, especially UFC. But I'll take whatever we can get. So [censored] off that Matt Brown and Condit is cancelled this week. The only fight I was really looking forward to. Matt Brown has been awesome lately.

UFC
Thought that fight might draw you back to this thread! What a fight. Just awesome. An incredible amount of punishment absorbed by two huge fighters. I couldn't really believe what I was seeing. The draw was a great result. Funnily enough, before the card I was talking to my mate about bad judging calls, my idea is get rid of the 10 point must system and if a round is so close you can't decide, score it even. If we end up with more draws so be it. That's better than having one bloke work his arsh off for 3 months, get robbed and go home with nothing and a loss. Then a great fight happened and it was a draw and everyone was happy with it (even though I don't see how it can be a draw, they gave Hunt 10 - 8 in the last, really? Bigfoot landed strikes too I think). I've always liked Pat Barry, but I've being following Soa since I saw him live at AFC 2 and I'm glad he showed the UFC what a beast he can be. Spewin about Te Huna. Shogun still hits like a truck though, nice reminder to everyone that he's still around. I'm excited about the three TUF series we'll have to watch. Aus v Can as you mentioned. BJ v Frankie at featherweight holy [censored]. And Brazil Wandy v USA Chael LOL. And the wheels are in motion to have the cage ban lifted and a big title fight at Etihad. Exciting times for all fight fans.

Thought I'd revive this old beast seeing as its been a while, and a lot has happened. Cain Velasquez has has pretty much closed the heavyweight division. Shut up shop, it's all over. Anderson, what were you doing? The Weidman fight was one if the most gripping and gut wrenching 10 minutes I'd ever seen in sport. Too much typing to go into it all, but I liken it to a serial killer wanting to get caught. He'll smash Weidman in New Years. Pettis is amazing to watch. Busting Henderson's arm propelled him to my top 5 favourite people in world history. Vitor the destroyer. I'd sooner retire than want to fight him at the minute. Human highlight wrecking ball. Took him 15 years to discover he has legs and feet! I thought Gustafsson beat Jones in what was a great fight. Speaking of great fights, the Mexican standoff between Melendez and Sanchez was just as entertaining as a fight can get. Absolutely awesome. The welterweight division. STACKED. So many talented and dangerous contenders. Lombard, Lawlor, McDonald, Woodley to name a few... And finally, the worst judging decision since Paqiou v Tim Bradley... Hendricks belted GSP. I actually gained a lot of respect for GSP for surviving that fight. But surviving a beating doesn't mean you won. Total joke of a decision and something needs to be done. Rhonda Rousey is bat [censored] mental. In a bad way. The upcoming card in Brisbane is choc full of great fights.

UFC on Fox 5 was just a bunch of sick fights! The undoubted lowlight was watching BJ get slaughted by that arrogant freak (who will rule the ww division, easily). Hang 'em up BJ, nothing left to prove, I can't watch something like that again! Gustafssen is ready for Jones, but the Mauler said he'll take another fight rather than wait, that's how it should be. Love this kid. Dennis Siver looked fantastic. Would be a very tough challenge for Aldo the way he's going. I was actually going for Nate Diaz, has more class than his brother. But not even close. Not sure who can beat Henderson now that Edgar has dropped down. Some great highlights, Yves Edwards, Cruikshank, Matt Bown... The Jorganson / Albert scrambles... Very entertaining card. Bring on the heavyweights.

UFC
That's a sweet card so far. Cannot wait to see Edgar v Aldo. Evans v Lil' Nog is a bit weird. Should be an awesome trip man, hope they put on some fireworks for you and Fitch doesn't lay on Maia for 15! (although he'd probably get submitted eventually!)

So will Hendriks now get dudded so Dana can jizz over this super fight? I'd rather see GSP v Hendricks and Silva v Bisping (lol, come on, you know you wanna see that). Pablo Garza was the only fight I got right in my multibet, but I knew Kampman was a long shot. Credit to GSP for winning after being kicked in the head, lots of blood, but I still feel 'meh' after another GSP 5 rounder. Looking forward to JDS v Velasquez and Nate v Henderson. They should be good fights. Wanderlei was a great bloke! He jokingly had a go at me for being late (thanks GSP/Carlos), I jokingly s**t myself.

Anthony Perosh out of the Sotiropoulos v Pierson card with an injured toe, what a wuss. I'm joking, have a look at his friggin' toe! How the hell do you do that at training?? Not for the squeamish, scroll down for the uncensored and slightly comical photos. http://www.cagepotato.com/anthony-perosh-gets-big-toe-damn-near-ripped-off-will-miss-ufc-on-fx-6-fight-with-joey-beltran-gross/

And Maynard isn't fighting Lauzon. Getting sick of this, and a little suspicious, maybe they're pissing hot too close to fight time? Really wanted to see Carwin and Nelson... Yeah I meet him and get a photo taken and stuff, not really my thing usually but should be cool. Haha not sure I'm game to ask about the tattoo! There's a cool interview he did with Mike Schiavello where he drew a tattoo on the back of Mike's head. Might shave up and get him to draw me one.
