I'm glad we dodged Ross Lyon. Even more so watching him today. If we couldn't land Malthouse, Neeld is from the cutting edge school, and if rumours are true and we've snagged Neil Craig as well, then there's the experienced senior coach and we've scored the best of both worlds. I'm slightly underwhelmed but optimistic with Neeld, but the rest of the coaching team could be the exciting ingredients.

Morton has had a bad year, his value would be way lower than what he could potentially become. A new coach could get out of him what we've seen in glimpses. Good move. -

Completely agree. Sylvia and Martin could've chased bigger $$ / bigger roles / a better environment anywhere, but they chose to sign on. I like the way we've handled all of this. Land me a big coach Dees, c'mon! -

Any news on Scully? -
I wonder how Scully would handle a Trengove sling tackle? I'd like to see Trengove sling the lightweight 10 rows into the crowd, hammer-throw style.
-
He did. Might've only meant the required ones, but he clearly said 'in the meantime we've signed all our uncontracted players'
-
Gawn ate Scully'$ dim sims, that was bad enough, but what sent him packing was Gawn returned the dimmies 2 hours later.
-
So someone spewed on him in China. Were they watching him kick? I've had the same stomach bug.

9/11...Where were you when you heard??

I was "telling my girlfriend a story" when my brother came banging on my door telling me to put the TV on. I finished the story and put the TV on. The rest is history. -
No he's not. He took over a list that was already playing deep into finals. A side with stars, match winners, on field leaders. Sure he almost got them ultimate success, but I reckon any coach that took over when he did would have done the same, or better. His recruiting known players is horrific from where I sit, I don't like any of them. He drove out Luke Ball for zilch. Granted the whole footy world had started to question Luke Ball, but the fact is he has been great at Collingwood in a role STKFC need. He took over a mature, talented list and applied his tactics. I'm not sure he'd go as well taking over a team of light bodied kids. But what would I know.

I've always said Steve Johnson would be dropped every few weeks in a rubbish side. He makes the basic things look impossible. Sure he does the incredible things, that's all he tries to do, so he's bound to pull them off a lot of the time. Bad luck for Buddy, take a year off and come home to the Dees, I'll get you the #3. I felt the Menzel one, love watching him, he'll be a gun if he isn't already. What bad luck.

A Brownlow hopeful, at one point. Well rip off my trackies and smack my arse, I've been taught a lesson. I don't rate the Brownlow to begin with, much less remember those whom were once hopefully going to win it. I assume you're referring to the form he was in before he got roughed up by Guerra, then he turned to jelly. My point was if he was still with us and we'd snuck into the finals, he would be leading us out. Yet he can't get a game for Hawthorn because they know what it takes in finals. We are so far away from that. And people are still sad that he left. Anyway I'm glad he's gone and hope those hurt by his departure can one day find happiness.
-
Agreed. Needs and actual role.
-
Blame? I'd shake Bailey's hand for driving that soft pretender out of our club, no blame, praise. "Soreness" yeah, sore nerves. If we were in a final this week, Bruce would be Cpt or Vice leading us out. Can't crack a spot at Hawthorn. That's how far we still have to go.
-
This is the youngest list we've ever had. And to some peoples chagrin, the kids we have drafted are all choir boys. Can you imagine what kids earning massive coin in West Sydney are going to get up to, and get away with, where no one knows who they are and not many older players around to tell them to pull their head in? I don't buy the culture argument, he couldn't be that naive.

Trust a Diaz to ruin everything. Nick Diaz didn't show up at 2 pressers now he is out of the GSP title fight. What a meathead moron. I was looking forward to BJ v Condit, now Condit gets the title shot against GSP and all my viewing pleasure is messed up. BJ v Condit would have been sick. GSP v Diaz would have been entertaining, I hate Diaz, but he'd take it to GSP and make it a fight worth watching. It's too early to give Condit a shot, GSP will be scared of his KO power and lay his way to a decision IMO. However if Condit pulled it off I'd be ecstatic. Dunno who BJ gets now. Lesnar v Overeem in Overeem's debut. Respect to Overeem for not waiting for a title shot and getting straight in. I think that fight could go either way. It'll be the first time 'Reem fights someone stronger than himself. I'm also looking forward to Rory McDonald v Brian Ebersole and Pat Barry v Stefan Struve. And come on Rampage.
-
But then she STARTS working out every day. Then she STARTS giving great BJ's. Then she inherits a fortune. And you're all like, you know what, I think I'm gunna stay.
-
If he does end up staying, I want to see the MFC launch an almighty attack on the media. I'd also love it if Scully didn't do one single interview about the whole thing.
-
That's ridiculous, you left out Casey Sibosado.
-
Yeah that was a great way for Lytle to go out, was a great fight. I like Hardy. But I'm guessing if he wasn't British he'd have been cut after his 4th straight loss. Hope he gets a win. Man Smooth Henderson was great, I've never seen Jim Miller lose let alone get dominated like that. Did you go to AFC 2 on Saturday? Was a good night, there was some young talent there, Polish 19 year old pulled off one crazy ninja roll knee bar type deal, he looked potentially UFC bound. Was good to see Jesse Taylor from the Ultimate Fighter get beat up. I wonder why Hector Lombard isn't in the UFC, roids probably. There was a fight in the foyer too, Wayne Carey and his missus going at it in front of everyone, come on Wayne, this ain't Miami. Hopefully the next AFC in Melbourne has a cage.
-
You've misread the play. No one has bought the story.
-
what the hell ?
-
It'd be a BS excuse is all, a reason to leave other than the money, something to add another dimension at the presser. ...if he leaves, that is. My luck, he'll stay. I'm in the give me the first rounders camp.
-
Let down? What a pea heart if that's the case, spoilt [censored] syndrome. dot dot dot if true. May be close to Sam, but not many else if my reliable sources are correct. So he'd play for no money and is very driven, yet he'd rather take his ball and move to an organisation he knows nothing about for more coin, because he feels let down? Spare me, Gramps.
