If there's been a better tackle ever, I don't remember it.

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 19
Deestroy All replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
lol broken leg and still in the running to win it, will surely get a podium. Such a Jack Viney way to do it. -
Awwww it's just like the good ol' days

Haven't watched tonight's episode yet, though I too am a fan of Buckley on the show. I (and probably everyone else) know what Roos is going to say before he even says it.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ALEX NEAL-BULLEN
Deestroy All replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Loved his first mark. Owed himself and his teammates after his not so impressive marking attempt last week. I'm a big fan. -
Can you win the rising star if you're already a star?
-
Garlett was shocking today, but why doesn't he spend more time in the middle? Especially on his cold days, and especially at centre bounces. Most of the times he's started at a centre bounce he's had an influence, it should happen more often, change it up a bit when it's not working, it was 9 - 0 centre clearances at one stage.
-
I see. I get the shot every year. Was just wondering if it really works, or if in fact footy players get the shot?

I thought it was to stop you from getting the flu at all. I don't know anyone that has died from the flu, even before flu injections. I was thinking about this when Delidio had to pull out on Friday.
-
Does the flu injection actually work?

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 19

6 - Hogan. He beat Thompson and kicked more goals than Dawes. 5 - Dawes. Best game in a while. Who knows if he had have kicked straighter... 4 - Viney. Stayed in form while the others crumbled. 3 - Tyson. Found some form. 2 - Howe. Tried his hardest, some good spoils and intercepts in an abysmal defensive unit. 1 - Raffle it. No idea... Gawn? For effort and doing well in the ball ups. Was killed around the ground though. -
He had 2 inside 50's for the day. The one good thing he did was hit Dawes. How you can say he had a really good first half is beyond me. That dropped sitter and follow up limp-wristed handball was almost as costly as Garlett's blunder. And anyone he went near had a shot at goal.

I'm sick of hearing this [censored] every day on here. MFCSS in the extreme. None of you know the kid, he could be the most loyal bloke going around, but wahhhh he's gunna leave us! Get over it, worrying about [censored] that hasn't happened and may never happen is is a waste of time. Just enjoy having a decent player for [censored] sake.
-
infuriating. I [censored] hate North. Worst start imaginable. Decent after that. Every [censored] thing they threw on their boot went through. Lucky, front running pieces of [censored]. Lumumba is a massive bust. Massive. One of the worst starting 22 recruits I've ever seen. 1 thing he does turns to gold, the rest goes to the Werribee [censored] farm. [censored] him off. Hogan though.

Salem could end up being better than Wines. It's a no from me.

Pickett Fence's Jizz Booth?

I watch Richmond every week, and there has never been a luckier team. Lucky bounces, umpires, opposition inaccurate kicking, drives me nuts every week. Been playing rubbish footy and winning, except they played well against Freo and obviously the Hawks. Thought the Crows would give them another break with their inaccurate kicking tonight. Gladly they ran away with it. Tex gave Rance a Hogan style bath. 1 good ruckman is the way to go. Sauce tonight and Gawn last week (Goldstein every week) shows that if your 2 ruckmen are getting beaten by 1 you may as well be 2 men down.

I'm well aware of what the reality is. The thread is about what you like about Hogan. Are you saying you like that he's possibly disloyal?
-
Absolutely.
-
Looks happier in Melbourne colours. Rubbish post by the way.
-
I hate when that happens.
-
I'll spend every minute of the following week harassing all the North fans I know. So that's zero minutes.

Wasn't this question answered in 2009?

You could be right that it's his only weakness, looking at all the other young big forwards tackles per game, Hogan is coming last. Even to dinosaur Boyd. But I'm in the non-issue camp. We play an openish (sometimes nonexistent) forward line and have less inside 50's than anyone, so he has less time and chances to lay tackles. Also a lot of his contemporaries do some ruck time. He just needs to lay 1 this week that Scott Thompson doesn't get up from and he can forget about the tackle column for the rest of the year.
