  1. Yeah they were actually! Think Jones had a chuckle after the second one. Right idea though!
  2. UFC

UFC 252 today and Stipe vs Cormier 3. This could be one of the most important fights in UFC history in terms of legacies and what happens next. With Jon Jones waiting in the wings and his jump to Heavyweight imminent I would love to see the winner face him. We'll see.

Wow Lyon, did anyone see that coming? Happy with the last 4 teams in the CL should make for some great viewing!

Happy for Weid. I'm sure he copped some ribbings over time from family and friends for not being in the beloved Black and White. Deserves to feel good about yesterday.
  5. Sounds like a half decent game. Checking scores while watching UFC.
  6. It's all enough to make your head spin. Interpretation after interpretation and 'greater penalties'. Well AFL Mensas thanks for nothing.

Really like the way he judges the ball in flight. He's a clever forward and it's starting to show!
  8. And the way things are going with Palaszczuk we'd probably have to do the 14 days in some underground bomb shelter.
  9. More than held his own tonight with good body work and making Grundy earn every hitout. Couldn't be prouder of his effort. Let's be honest though, we knew he was no slouch!
  10. Will cross that bridge when we come to it if we do, but my god that feeling of not being there will burn in hell for all eternity.
  11. No doubt about it, The Wizard leaving Melbourne felt like that after the siren kick in itself. This brought on a whole new level of pain, a pain so great that, well, yeah..
  12. Watching the 3 second GIF on Jon Ralph's twitter about 17 times after my 4th scotch I do think it was probably front on contact and a free but the downfield I just can't get my head around.
  13. The fitness is shining through and the fact we didn't get blown off the park early allowed us to hang in there enough and then go to work on our pressure game. Bring that this week and we will go a long way to winning I think.
  14. Still one of the worst Saturday nights I've ever had!
  15. Pretty hard to pull up after an attempted smother in mid air but say it was a free kick it's not a free downfield surely.
  16. Yeah we're coming into a series of 8 point games that's for sure. And I'll probably even tune in to that GC v Blues one now.
  17. I think he needs to stay in the middle, the thing I like about Gus is he knows when to hunt the ball and when to stay out on the edge whereas Oliver and Viney are see ball get ballers. It balances things up a bit better.

I'd honestly rather Oscar back in than sending him to defence. Yeah he made a nice lead back to the square and goaled but I don't think this performance was any better than last weeks. Not through a lack of trying though.
  19. Yeah I gotta jump on board here as well he is getting better each week. Doesn't need 20 possessions to make an impact and makes timely interventions. With the ball in the air he goes straight at it regardless of what is coming. Bravo sir
  20. I'm ok with Garry, does he really need to become a bathwater drinker?
  21. There's no doubt the ball should have come back even if it was a free kick.
  22. Crazy finish, think Freo are right to be aggrieved at that last free kick. My Collingwood supporting dad back to his old tricks again comparing the 'injustice' to the 2018 Grand final. I mean give me a spell really.
  23. Yeah I liked them all but I thought Jones made some real important contributions at times.
  24. Excellent performance, a real 4 quarter effort and our pressure did not let up. Every time we were challenged we responded. Getting some silly comments from Pies fans saying we just beat their VFL side but they've been well and truly told to get stuffed. I also watched with my Pies fan dear old dad who left the room before half time! Oliver is just off the charts at the moment and he's hunting with even more vigour if that was even possible. Brayshaw was fantastic and that was easily Langdon's best game for the club. His upside and what he brings to the table more than outweighs his lack of kicking ability. Trac started slow but really worked his way into the game and that goal was very telling is the kind of player he was become. Back line sensational, May was everywhere again and super focused as always, even late in the game when Elliot ran around and skied it he was there to see it over the line. Lever was off but I'm confident he'll be back, I'm loving the way Hibbo goes about it right now he'd be a nightmare to play against. Spargo was good when the game was in the balance, I know he went quiet in the second half but this period where he kicked 3 was crucial and his second efforts were amazing. Apart from this it was a supreme team effort. Preuss more than held his own against Grundy very proud of his effort. Was great to see we didn't have to smash the contested ball to win a game and we were all over them in uncontested ball early, the work rate to spread and get to the outside was encouraging and must be the standard. Bring on the Dogs!
