  1. We really do. Kelly would be amazing, would be so good to have a piercing kick in the midfield
  2. Not a crazy idea. Would be nice to have a marking option and he hasn't been bad out of the backline this year. The Hawkers would be pretty keen to lock him in though
  3. Jack has been shown this season that nothing is going to be gifted to him like it has been in the past. There is a certain benchmark that needs to be hit and near enough is not going to be good enough. Let's hope Jack has a ripping game for Casey and is back in no time.
  4. Yep, would be an awfully raw deal. Maybe trade up somehow and get a higher pick to send along with *Insert fringe player* and they may listen.
  5. I'm also for Hird presenting the Norm, but I've been hearing Mark Allen on SEN almost in disbelief at the possibility that people could boo. I personally won't but it is still a controversial choice with timing whether people like it or not. People are entitled to boo if they want and I'll give the AFL no sympathy when they turn around and say "why is this happening?"
  6. Would be nice to see him back. Not sure if it's the perfect game to do it but there probably isn't with this kind of thing.
  7. Baffled by the Salem omission. Frost I could kind of see coming
  8. Yeah not quite the right part of the season to taper.
  9. So true, the only thing predictable about us is our unpredictability. Let's play who we play.
  10. Great tactical mind and studies film and statistics extensively. It's everything I'd want my senior coach to be. Shame he found himself at a tire fire of a club.
  11. Would just be silly to to this right now. I kind of have this feeling he'll end up back home eventually (sorry if that upsets some here) but he's gotta be here for this contract at least.
  12. Logically that makes sense. I think the MRP just worries that if both arms are pinned the player being tackled can't break their fall. A little unsure about the driving force thing though because surely not all of these injuries are from deliberate slings.
  13. The other thing is that the game goes so fast you can't just tell a player to tackle but not pin both arms. That's just ridiculous.
  14. We do need to take the opportunity we have now. Should we miss and go down fighting, I can live with that.
  15. Not too bad from the look of it. The thing I recall about him was that he seemed rather slight framed, went to ground a little easily.
  16. Good point, I reckon he's shown enough to suggest he's handy to have.
  17. I'd actually be kind of glad if he hadn't met with us yet. I think it says a lot about a person's character if they are directly talking to other clubs in the middle of a premiership tilt. Leave it to the managers
  18. The next 3 weeks really does set the tone for who the future leaders are.
  19. At the start of the season I wanted to aim for finals. It seemed like a goal that was realistic but with the right level of loftiness that could stretch us at the same time. There's no doubt that we've shown improvement, none at all. And for where this list is at experience wise you would be stoked with how far we have come. However with the position we have gotten into at this point of the season I do think missing the 8 would be a slight disappointment. There is stuff here that can't be measured on paper. Like the fact that we have a glass ceiling to break through, the valve that will be released when we do actually make finals can't be underestimated. For me the goalposts never changed since the start of the year. Aim for finals. Whether it was times when we lost to Hawthorn, North or Freo or when we'd get a great win over Adelaide or West Coast and people started getting giddy about us talking up top 4 or even 2. It never changed for me. I think we're a decent side, a top 8 side even but that is it. We have a bit of a way to go.
