Any interest I had in the A-League died when they left Fox/Kayo. That's not to say they were better, but I've found the marketing and promotion of this league has completely fallen into the tank ever since. I wouldn't know anything about it right now at all, who is playing, when the Grand Final is, nothing. It feels so closed off now like racing or skiing.

After the mega contracts we've given out, I'd hope this isn't a 'we'll see what's left for you Judd' situation.

I think our youngster crop is very impressive but I wouldn't be parading it around as one of the best or using it as the ultimate selling point to snare big name players. The fact is that every team has a few good youngsters. I could pick any list in the comp and make a narrative for some of their youngsters being good. I think in Langford, Linsday, Windsor, McVee we are well on the way to forming the nucleus of our next premiership challenging side, however we still need to add to these stocks.

Being a 'good kick' is too broad a phrase. There's the players who are great relieving field kicks who find the target when needed or loop a nice weighted kick giving their man space and time to mark it, then there's the guided missile chest hitters who can land it on a 20c piece. Goal kicking ability is another thing altogether in my view. There have been literally thousands of players who couldn't kick a set shot for peanuts but could hit anyone on the chest and vice versa. And then to your point, the role and position you play factors into it too. As mentioned I think he's a reasonable get out of trouble kick but he's probably not the most technically gifted kick going round. Which is no slight on him at all, he can still be everything we think he'll be. It was interesting to note on his rookieme profile he had made big improvements with his kicking back before he got drafted.

At the end of the day, there is none. After last season, this was the one where people were going to 'see what this team is made of' and it turns out we're made of cream puff pastry.

They will all laugh but if there was actually wind of him wanting to come back to VIC and I were another VIC club in need of that type I'd be asking the question. It's essentially a Petracca situation and unless he says he would only leave for Melb then why can't another team with better trade capital enter the frame? Would make for some great AFL Trade Radio..

Always happy to try new stuff Jim, only reason I got TP-Link is because I've only ever had them so it's unconscious brand loyalty. The Orbi does look nice though and has everything you need. And this one is fantastic for all things WIFI 5 related. I was keen to add the Deco Mesh but you can't add it to this one only the Archer VX1800v which is less of a premium product so it doesn't make sense. The house isn't too big, just get a slight dead spot in the living room from time to time. Honestly I would solve a lot of problems if I connected the TV with ethernet and figure out why it's kicking everything out. I hope it's just a router configuration and nothing to do with the outlet itself!
