  1. Haha righto Chris Heisenberg! In all seriousness they could be if everything goes right for them. This Brisbane and Geelong game is a real mover and shaker.
  2. I like it Deever!
  3. Agree, needs a breather. Not like we're bereft of options in this area.
  4. Put a price on his head trade wise and maybe we can have a discussion. Would still rather go all in on trying to nab a Mckercher or Watson.
  5. I like Smith, i'm a fan of gut running mids. But we're in the middle of another media circus over a player we may not have needed, this one would ensure we have another this time next year.
  6. Stafford was there with his dog apparently.
  7. Smith is having trouble getting on a wing at the Dogs right now due to their surplus of mids. Where does he fit for us exactly?
  8. Let's tear this place apart!
  9. The 24/7 news cycle has been the worst thing for the AFL
  10. 'The media' have been the most frequently used words on DL today.
  11. You're speaking my language there but it seems we're in the minority. I've always found it strange when people complain about no footy for a weekend but everyone is different I guess. The masses seem to want it and the league is keen to stay in the shop window. Totally agree with you but if there's a demand and money to be made then they will do it.
  12. Think we're good for hard running wingers thanks
  13. Exactly, NFL and League are made for TV. Would be nice to see some of those spread offenses fit the screen!
  14. Yes, micromanagers.
  15. Yeah I'd probably want to see Rivers given some time in there before Judd.
  16. 197cm confirmation right there.
  17. Great post, especially the camera lens analogy.
  18. I mean thinking about it, we do talk about how you can really only win a flag from top 4, does this give at least a little bit of incentive to finish 5th and 6th in that you will be more more rested and therefore more likely to book a trip to the semis? Still think it's silly but it's fun to think about.
  19. How good would that be if Port lost their next 3 games, or even 3 of the next 4! Another classic Port choke, that would be worth a party for sure.
  20. Yep, the gameday experience isn't much chop but NRL is the ultimate TV sport and highly sought after.
  21. This would have to be the hottest thread in all footy club forums right now if they were doing a top 10 excluding gameday threads.
  22. Just throwing shade at Footy Classified as it was airing. They said the pup line 3 times in the space of 5 mins. Riveting television..
  23. Can't really argue with these votes.
  24. The media seem to have forgotten what comes with making a decision to come to a club like this. It's the chance to play at a club in the window and win a flag. Some will say he could have done that by taking a pay cut at Collingwood but there is a reason that didn't happen and it's mostly Collingwood's fault. The media are now saying that "Brodie could play for 8 other clubs and be no.1". Yeah sure, why not go to Hawthorn and spend the rest of your prime rotting in the bottom 4! Geelong? Ok then, why didn't it happen? Port? Same deal and how many flags have they won lately? Brodie would have been aware of the risk that this decision carried. You make sacrifices, just like our stars that took potentially less money to sign new contracts this season and be part of sustained success. It's actually a credit to Brodie's character AND a credit to our coaching and selection who aren't afraid to make big calls.
