  1. Yes I'd be surprised too and I would hope that they came to a mutual decision.
  2. Wouldn't say no to either to be honest.
  3. I admire the attitude of these guys but it comes back to the authority that the coach and selection committee have. Say that these guys aren't playing well as they seem to think, but what if Fagan doesn't want to drop them? What if his idea of form is different to the player and he might have a different role in mind for them for tonight's game. The decision from these players to drop themselves takes this out of the coach's hands and slightly undermines them in my view. Say that ANB or Spargo felt they were out of form and went straight up to Goody and said "We believe we are letting the team down and it is definitely true because a bunch of people on Demonland think so, We're hereby dropping ourselves". Where would Goody's system be if players dictated selection the same way? Like I said, I admire the act but it doesn't sit right 100%.
  4. More warped than COVID times.
  5. Genuinely hope the guy is alright.
  6. Gee wiz! I was 03. We used to write in our diaries how much it cost per day to go to Carey as a reminder every time we goofed off in class. Which is weird now that I think about it because it's not like the teachers made us do it!
  7. Have to watch this back, from memory it was at the Punt Rd end 2nd or 4th quarter?
  8. Absolutely insane! More than double what it was in my day and that wasn't cheap! It's great that you've put him on the list though. My mum did some relief English teaching at McKinnon in the past, excellent public school from what I hear. You could do a lot worse.

I didn't know that and yeah that stinks. For-get it!

Still wonder how gettable Himmelberg is and what he could potentially do for us. RFA end of this year, has had 38 and 36 goal seasons and can swing back as well. All comes down to if he fits our system and salary, he could help us.
  11. Was it ever going to be any other way? Their cache only allows for one front of mind thing at a time and right now it's dangerous tackles. Dissent to the back of the bus.
  12. I just count my lucky stars that the MCG is our home ground. I was fortunate enough to go to a Western Bulldogs breakfast event on Wed at Marvel and even getting into that place at 7am with minimal traffic is an impossible task.

They really don't grow on trees do they.
  15. On top of all these fine comments about Chin there is one thing I've always loved about him, he's got the swagger. You can tell with guys like these that they dream of kicking a goal and have goal sense, you need to be a little greedy as a specialist small forward. Obviously we don't want David King BBQ levels but you have to want to kick a goal and on top of his pressure and running work rate, he always wants that goal. There's a heap of small forwards in the league that are role players and get the blinkers in front of goal. Confident he'll get consistency and become a real threat with limited opportunities. Hope he bags a hatful next week.
  16. Need Kozzie to come out, kick 3 goals and legally bump someone very well.

Fresh off an NBA championship, we really are the big boys now!
  18. Yep, fancy recruiting a guy that doesn't want to play.
  19. Need to go down to Kardinia Park and kick the door in.
  20. Port are due for a loss.

  22. Why is it called 'sweating on the outside' and who came up with that term?
  23. Sinking cans and burning plans!
