  1. This is a joke right? Pick 7 and a future first for a 1 time AA?

    99% Great career, 1% brainsnap
  3. I do want to see him get some mid time from now until the end of the season but I do agree to an extent. McVee to the middle and JVR to the ruck for me are the same thing in that they might fill a need but rob us of a vital strength elsewhere.
  4. Definitely out if it's two first rounders.
  5. It's robbing Peter to pay Paul and I know Jacob is a physical player who can handle some punishment but he's valuable merchandise for the future. You don't take your Bentley off-road driving. Imagine if we shut down Max for a few weeks and JVR ends up doing some kind of injury in the ruck which could eat into his pre season. I know we're stuck, I know we have few other options but it would be nice to be non-reckless for a change.
  6. Seriously? Lions and Bombers made more sense. Freo and Port I understand because you want to keep eyes glued to the TV sets. I reckon Dogs and Giants could have been a ripper for Fri night at Marvel, seems strange having the Mars agreement for Round 24.
  7. Imagine if these references got banned? My DL input would drop about 70% overnight.
  8. Can you imagine a world without lawyers?
  9. As a no.1 ruckman attending more than 14% of centre bounces? I'm not sure about that. I think it's taken its toll, looked a bit cooked on Fri night.
  10. I'm actually getting tired of bashing JVR around in the ruck. I know the cupboard is bare but it's actually getting annoying now. If Fullerton is even a bee's diaphragm of ruckman then we should chuck him in. Couldn't be much worse than Petty.
  11. The thing about goal kicking is that if you think you're seeing these things with his routine then you probably are.

The title race will still be very exciting, barring whatever happens I'd still expect City to be too strong. It will be very interesting to see if Arsenal can take the next step though. It is but thats a great thing. One thing is for sure, there will plenty of great football being played.
  13. Fair questions. Possibly not but he's emerged as a hot forward that I'm sure they would like to tie down, we know very well that these marking types don't grow on trees. Like Viney around 2019 Jake has 100 games behind him and is now established. With the history he has at the club on top of this it would raise some eyebrows to see him leave now, not saying he wouldn't but more chance of him staying put I reckon. It could be 3 more years of pain but we've seen quicker bounces before. The trade bait/cashing in for English scenario is one that I hadn't considered yet, if they have tabled this 6 year deal then it could be worth looking at, I can't imagine the cap space wouldn't be there to throw at English though would it? Especially with Gaff, Darling, McGovern, Cripps also off contract this year or next.

Could be one of the more bizarre seasons coming right up with all eyes on November (or thereabouts) for the Man City trial..
  15. Yeah just something like that where you can access a bit more. It just seems at the moment like there are more useful stats that you just can't access and more useless stats like fantasy or dream team points. But it is clear how the system works, not a massive deal.
  16. Yeah no point being triggered by anything they do, I still don't know why so many in the other threads allow themselves to be constantly outraged week after week. The stats thing doesn't make much sense though. Depending on the price, I would absolutely be open to a paid subscription for premium level statistics. Would there be enough demand for such a product? Not sure, but I would!
  17. Same here. Not entirely sure why but I just don't see Waterman as gettable. Would be like Viney leaving around 2019.
  18. No real bike fanatic needs a bike shop for repairs!
  19. True legend of the game. It's been an absolute pleasure watching this man go about it, the term generational is thrown around too much at the moment but he is someone who has defined his and then some. When you see kids at junior level running around doing the 'don't argue' you see this effect. Not that I would have begrudged him the chance to head north for a few years, it is rather fitting to see him retire as a one club player. Thanks for everything you've given the game Dusty.
  20. As Binman often says, our default gameplan is built for finals footy. Come finals time you will see a lot of teams play the forward half territory game. But during the home and away season if we were to go back to that I agree we would need to fix up the way we setup at stoppage and we absolutely need to get the high performance program spot on. The style we were playing is extremely taxing over the course of a season. Tweaking a gameplan is a much harder balancing act than people think and I can see just how easy it is to 'overcorrect'. I would like to still be doing this to try and find the right balance but it's important to not trek too far away from our DNA in my opinion.
  21. You mean you were only partially invested in it throughout the year? Yee gads!
  22. Was wondering when this fluff was rearing it's head again. I'd hate to be a dinosaur stick in the mud so bring it on..
  23. If absolutely nothing else, it shows that the guy can coach.
  24. Another Sat night game? *sighs* argh yeah, I'll be there..
