  1. What an I***t
  2. Has anyone asked the question why Clayton was at the Brownlow? If there really was a strict set of guidelines to be met this year then why were we more than happy to let him go?
  3. If it has solely taken the review to reveal something about Clarry being detrimental to our culture and future success, then the people running this club are even more delusional bastards than I thought they were.

  5. We devote a lot of our lives fronting up to games each week from March to September. For some there's probably no place they would rather be, for others there is sacrifice. I'm red and blue till I die but considering that we're the ones keeping them in jobs it is a massive gut punch. When I pay my membership each year, I don't expect winning as a pass mark, I don't even expect to be good consistently. But the one, basic fundamental I except is for this football club to be run properly, not losing control and being plastered across the papers every week.
  6. I want to see an uprising at this event. Tables turned over, chairs thrown across the room, tomatoes thrown, absolute Halloween Havoc.
  7. Is it worth complaining about the media? That could help.
  8. Yay, Josh Jenkins is now a hero.
  9. Yay, breathing space for another year!
  10. If the playing group is fed up with Clarry then why would the media be rep with him for a training camp a few weeks ago? A lot must have happened in the last few weeks.
  11. I think this is the type we should be after
  12. They're pretty handy with a sob story email though 👍
  13. Keep an eye on your emails..
  14. You'd hope so, unless he has Trac's management.
  15. In the words of Biggie, "Your reign at the top was shorter than leprechauns"
  16. Just like any marriage, you can't predict the future unfortunately.
  17. It is a potentially catastrophic situation that may well have been the snookering of the century. How a partial salary dump and little else became the desired outcome for a potential Oliver trade baffles me.
  18. It feels like a real rock and hard place moment. It is reminding me of Charles Haley, one of the great defensive ends in the NFL who helped the 49ers win two superbowls. He had some serious demons and some of his behaviour was just flat out disgusting towards the end of his time in San Francisco, the players had honestly had enough and the GM and coach felt the situation was untenable. Meanwhile the Dallas Cowboys and Jimmy Johnson needed a defensive end and felt they could help Haley and work with him to better himself, they went on to win 3 Superbowls in the 90s with Haley being a crucial part of that. The balance of power in the NFC almost shifted with that one trade. The point of this is that you sometimes find yourself as a club in these crud situations. We may have a very good reason to move Clayton on, but there is that possibility that the fresh start and a change of scenery could see him back to his best and help the Cats win another flag. I would be hoping that doesn't happen and from a cynical side that he doesn't reach the heights he did with us but if it does help to improve our culture.. Ah it's too heartbreaking to think about this right now.
  19. $10 million dollars of guaranteed money with 6 years to go has been ringing in my head like a jackhammer since I heard it. If true then he makes a decent case.
  20. I don’t care how the letter comes across, the club is a basket base at the minute. People might think it’s a whiney so and so threatening to not renew their membership. Sure, but someone is prepared to stick their neck out in public and hold the club accountable. Why throw stones at them for doing something that most of us aren’t prepared to do or cbf? We get rid of the president, we start a review, we try to get an ex player on the board and it falls through, we fill a casual vacancy again in interesting circumstances after being dragged through the courts about that and other things. Then on top of all that we reportedly get the CEO undermining the FD and coach by shopping one of our best players around. They control the narrative about as well as they can control a billy cart down a hill. Membership prices are going up again, cost of living is high, it’s a wrench giving money to this football club right now when they can’t govern or manage our club out of a paper bag. People get unhappy when this happens and when they lose faith they want to be heard.
  21. About 50,000 volts worse.
  22. The buck should stop with the coach and footy dept. If they want him then why the hell is the front office undermining him?
  23. Yeah all good, nothing to see here except a grumpy DL poster.
  24. My building just got evacuated and I still feel the same in my half asleepness
