  1. Yes, like with Frawley for us the AFL gave us overs instead of a priority pick. The AFL need a competitive Gold Coast they will get overs.
  2. I like the point system and hope one day the introduce the same system for free agent so clubs receiving players have to give up something. NSW and QLD teams still have an advantage as they basically have access to the best players in their allocated Zone, where as all other teams only have priority access to Aboriginal and kids of a Multi cultural decent. My point is if you have good kids coming through your NGA or F/S you will be at a massive advantage as you can trade away you first round picks and as long as you have late picks to cover the cost of the players you are right, means you can be really aggressive through trade week knowing that you have good kids coming in. Look at North, they have a kid coming in through NGA he is a top 10 pick, they have traded first round pick to Port for two players, once trading is done you will find they will stock pile late second round and third round picks to cover the points for him and I think the F/S they will also get. Clubs are smart they all have FS academy's now along with NGA because they know it is a massive advantage if they have a few gems they can get.
  3. Great outcome if you have good F/S or Academy players
  4. It was brought in by the AFL due to the advantage Qld and Sydney teams had been getting from there Academy. Vic/WA/SA clubs are still limited to priority access to kids with in their academy's that are from a multi-cultured( one parent needs to be born overseas)or Aboriginal decent. We are see already clubs that have access to either Father son picks or good Academy kids are trading away first round picks. Sydney did it, North are in a great spot this year along with Collingwood, the Pies have an Academy player that would be a top 12 in this years draft plus Craig Kelly's son which is 20-25 pick, they will be a club active in pick swaps to get both these players.
  5. They must see something most of us miss, all I see with Tyson is a bloke with no defensive skills, limited running capacity and can't hit targets
  6. I reckon the only club with any interest in Tyson will be Carlton, they need an inside mid to help Cripps. I reckon that pick 42ish they just got off Geelong would be around the mark
  7. Add in Mitch Clark the games he was fit for us he was amazing
  8. Colin Sylvia would give him a good run for that title, maybe he was the decade before Bennell
  9. Peter Bell is a [censored] and clubs will hate dealing with him
  10. You will find they took the graft from his hamstring. There has been some amazing advancements with Knee reco's you have a number of options for the Graft one being Transplant which I think Goldsack had, a Transplant means you only need to rehab from the knee and not the area they take the graft as well
  11. I hope he goes to USA like Petracca, that training was intense
  12. Wait till he confirms he is going or staying and the trade is done, 500 pages here we come
  13. If he wants to go I reckon it will be picks and a player. First round pick this year, future second Round pick plus Matt Taberner for Hogan and Pick 51. If Hogan goes our tall forward stocks are light on so getting Taberner in is back up and I reckon he can play. First Round and Future first round goes to Gold Coast for May, KK and Pick 18 this year
  14. I think the issue is St Kilda don't have a lot to trade Pick 3, 57, 61 and 63. Good chance we get 57 or 61 for him which really is not far off his value. No idea how St Kilda is going to execute all the trades they want, Dan Hannebery is going to cost them a first round pick with a bit of change coming back, doubt it will be Pick 3 might be future first round and Sydneys pick 30 this year. If that deal happens like that I would take pick 30, 57 and give them pick 43 and Kent
  15. Bit like Jack Watts last year, bit different though Watts wanted to stay but the club wanted to trade him, seems we are happy for Hogan to stay but we are unsure what he wants. The club is a bit torn at the moment they see the benefits of trading Hogan but also the downside is losing a very good player
  16. So the flip side for us we have no chance getting Yarra Park as the to major parties will be sacred to lose the Green vote
  17. Yep, with out a great knowledge of those seats, I'm assuming Punt Rd would be a green seat at the moment and Geelong a Labor Seat under threat from Liberal
  18. Only if the AFL allow us to trade next years first round pick which might not be enough considering it will be Pick 18
  19. You are using one pick for the Preuss, another for KK leaving you with 4 picks between 33-55 and hopefully get the Bedford for pick 90ish as NGA pick
  20. We aren't getting a second round pick for him 40-55 is his value this would be similar for Kent and AVB
  21. Hopefully he slots on Salem's HBF, to allow Salem to push up onto the wing.
  22. A bloke who can't run, Kick or Tackle, I'm sure 17 clubs can't wait to get him on their list
  23. He must be gone then based on Tim's great journalistic efforts to uncover this. Journo's are paid to make statements to keep them employed. If they don't make big statements and just deal with facts no one reads or listens to them. If they are wrong no one holds them to account, they can say what they want, make stuff up would it right and get away with it, bit like our politicians. We have 117 pages based on Journo's hunches not facts. Until we get some concrete comment for Hogan, his manager, Melbourne or Fremantle, he is a Melbourne player no point everyone saying we don't need him because we do what team doesn't need a 50 goal per year forward.
  24. Saints have pick 3 and next is 57, offer 51 and Kent for Billings
  25. Because Freo will be worried about big brother West Coast swooping in as a replacement for Josh Kennedy
