  1. I just worry that the Coach has no Plan B, at all. His Plan A is great when it rolls, but you have to expect that 17 other Coaches are going to work on structures to Counter it. Once this Happens Goodwin & Co leave themselves wide open. After Carlscum kicked their 2nd Goal, i knew what was going to happen, and it did. This club cannot defend once pressure is applied Even a Halftime Break didn’t change anything. Goodwin must get smarter or he won’t last. We should have lost that game. I will take the 4 points, but we dodged a bullet no doubt
  2. I am watching Port Adelaide do what we should have done today. (the Crows will now kick 5 in a row!!)
  3. I would have thought Goodwin should have Reset the attitude at Halftime We all knew what was unfolding. Have seen it for years Rinse and Repeat... Better than losing, but a huge week coming up
  4. People wonder why we don’t get the good Timeslots or the Gun Players to join the Club. that was a perfect reason why...
  5. Good Start Demons Punch them harder in the 2nd Q I hate Carltank I refuse to eat in Lygon St.
  6. The MFC is the only Club i can see becoming bigger. Other Small Clubs will remain that way but we can get bigger because of who we are, but it won’t happen until the AFL trust the organization Smaller Clubs are in trouble right now, the Pandemic has put that front and center
  7. We haven't had enough success in the modern era to be able to do that. And when the AFL do give us some early home games, we to often waste them. Carlton are still looked after because they pulled huge crowds between 1965-2000 Not saying I agree, but that is why. The ONLY way we will improve our situation is to win consistently, everything else is an add on
  8. The Big 4 still exist inside AFL House Carlton are 1 of them Sadly it is a fact
  9. I am not talking about this in terms of the MFC, I heard Kennett live, yesterday and had to agree with him. 18 clubs could survive, but I doubt it will happen, too many were on the edge before the Pandemic appeared The AFL teat won't be there like it was before
  10. If the Covid19 Germ stays around for 2-3 years anything could happen, but I doubt we will have 18 teams
  11. J. G. Kennett gives Clubs 3 years to sort out the pecking order..
  12. Which is exactly what J. G. Kennett is alluding to. Less Money for 18 Clubs... Those who cannot support themselves could well go Post Covid
  13. This is now the Core Problem. Most Clubs were running at a loss or close to the bone before Covid19 hit. It hit so fast there was no plan B The Draw will now be revenue driven so much harder
  14. Over the last 50 years Carton and Essendon have built up huge TV Audiences because of Grand Final Successes and big game wins throughout the Home and Away Seasons. They are still living off that, meanwhile the MFC can never be fully trusted in Big Games Our onfield performance is the direct reason we are overlooked and are given what you consider inequalities. I say we get what we deserve. We were once THE Club and it is entirely our own problem, that we find ourselves pushed out of the way.
  15. We keep losing big games. That is the bottom line answer We fold under pressure to often to be trusted Start Winning big games and we get noticed, it really is that simple.
  16. I agree some clubs are timid, but that is not the problem of the AFL. The MFC at least have stood our ground with our Block Busters ( we didn’t deserve QB for years, but we did keep it) But that’s just survival, we have to grow the MFC and show some balls, not kowtow to the boss
  17. I think you are underestimating the hard whack all Clubs have endured. The agenda pushed has never been a Secret. The best clubs play in the highest rating time slots. How long can you keep giving perennial losing clubs free money as compensation? That part is drying up
  18. Yes i know that, but it won’t happen, and there is even less chance of it happening now, because the AFL borrowed a bucketload of cash this year once Lockdown was in place. So the Winners will get looked after even moreso...
  19. Clubs that don’t improve cannot keep living on borrowed money... That is the bottom line
  20. The Current Structures have to change because of Covid19. That was the main point of Jeff’s speal
  21. It all sounds nice, but it aint going to happen. Dr. you are talking perfect world scenarios, and after Covid19 that will be so far from reality. Winning teams will get the exposure for the next 2-3 years at least, the rest will struggle and fight the scraps We have been forewarned....
  22. The AFL hasn’t been fair for decades, and it won’t be again. The Draw maximises ratings at peak times. Teams that win regularly benefit. That’s the way it is, be it right or wrong. Post Covid will be different and i will be staggered if by 2030 there are still 10 teams out of Melbourne.
