Yes i loosley have planned to go to Asia in september this year-May wait till October now. Geez they looked good on Saturday night-Those young kids really want to win now-They have tasted it now. Well said, but i still say Juddy's timing is out by one year. He was not to see the Fevola Fiasco coming. For Judd Carlton's window is open now, will the Blues win the Cup this year?? They looked really good yesterday-but so did Melbourne on Saturday night. I would have loved to see Judd in a demons Jumper, but i am more excited about Scully, Trengove,Jurrah, Mckenzie, Watts, Chip, Warnock. We are a young side but so are other clubs this year-with luck 2010 could go our way. If Judd had come to Melbourne we would not have all the Talent we have now. I still hope Chris plays at melbourne at the end of his career-he was a fanatic supporter (imagine if he retired an MFC Premiership player playing forward pocket/ Bench impact player in 5 years time) How the MCC would be rocking that day)

Number 13 caught my eye against hawthorn in round 1-about the only thing that did on that day. Jordie is a Gun-Fearless Energy. His goal was superb, Gun Barrell Straight. Without Liam Jurrah's unfortunate injury we would not have seen Jordie Mckenzie play yet. He took his chance & is not letting go. Jordie just might be the one setting the new high Standards at Melbourne. It does prove also that even with GC 17 & GWS the MFC must still recruit the right players in years to come. Good Players will still be out there. Good on ya Jordie.

After the practise games & Round 1 effort-I wanted to know if Dean Bailey could coach on match days. At the time i said i would give him "one Last Chance" against the Filth Round 2. If he could not get the Demons pumped against that team it wasn't going to happen. I wanted Dean to succeed & I asked for at least one quarter of competitive good hard football. What i saw was 4 quarters, all all was answered. When i hear Dean Bailey in a press conference now i do not Hope-i believe his words. Thanks to Cam Schwab's Whiteboard Presentation i now believe what the club is doing is the right way to do it. I think the players & coaching staff are all working as a team at the minute, The Inspiration of Jimmy Stynes might just drive this team further this year than anybody thought possible.

I can understand JW being played last year on QB, but i didn't agree with it. But i was not privvy to inside information-quite possibly our Queens Birthday status was right on the line, so a huge crowd was demanded by the AFL-so it was done. In terms of Jack Watts development as i said last week it was like throwing a puppy in front of an oncoming racing car... he survived but i would have prefered him to play in the Wet Coke game last year. injuries and form will give every one a go. I hope Bailey coaches in such a way that the differences are minimal whoever plays. We need a Team standard-whoever plays. A standard is set.

I agree, i have no probs with Trapper-he was asked to leave. I think Trav was booed because supporters knew what he could have done-but ultimately didn't try hard enough to do. But yes i thought it was Harsh, that's footy. Wonder whether supporters will boo Petterd next year if he goes??

"Crackers" Keenan's old number!!! Chip was wonderful last night- he and Warnock worked together like Lennon/McCartney last night.

The team has got to learn to play the same way when it plays away from the MCG-Then & only then can we really go forward. At this stage they have at least opened the door-I hope they fear no team this year, if that happens who can say what will happen. B)

i will add Lynden Dunn to this thread-Thought he played a ripper as well. Bruce & Bate played there best games so far this year-as did the whole team!

We had to kick the first goal of the final quarter. We had soaked up 10 minutes before junior kicked truly. If the Bears had kicked the first they could have challenged, But after junior kicked that ripper, we put them away-Broke their spirit.

Yep, the style of play i watched last night reminded me so much of the charge to the finals in 1987. This side could be way better in time.

i would give him one more game in the seniors after tonight. Winning builds confidence. Steph got better as the game progressed. He's raw, but confidence can build.
