  1. They won on paper but it broke the bank to do it... The last war payment was made by Britian in 2005. It took that long.
  2. You could well be right TimD...but i like what Neeld & co have done...it is not perfect but if the players he has bought in are really hungry for a good AFL career we may see some drastic change. Our draw is good so 2-3 wins in a row just might get the old girl moving.
  3. yes PSD i agree. Many nice people have savage Demons and shouldn't be left to expire in such anguish. 3 strikes is a free ride to walk away with a "clear" consience
  4. it's the first and second i am talking about. By the 3rd strike it is the detox clinic in carlisle st. That is what [censored] me. Chris Mainwarring says hello.
  5. What??The start of 2012 was diabolical. What Planet were you watching from? Stop making excuses please. We were awful. Season over during the first game round one.
  6. WJ maybe you could coach Casey for 2013. The sooner we get a stand alone reserve side the happier i shall be. Coachless for half the pre season & the club in almost receivership. In the words or Arthur from the Holy Grail. "Run away....."
  7. Until this "new"list plays 2-3 games you just cannot tell. We could "click" and smash the Richmond media darlings. I said could.
  8. so would i, but if you have ever seen the medical room of an AFL club after halftime or after a game it can be quite confronting as to just how many syringes are used. AFL players would have far more exposure to drugs of all types than any of us. With a much larger disposable income than most other people their age. The AFL are kidding themselves if they believe there's not a problem out there. The 3 strike policy just gives the AFL kids more protection.
  9. Spud of the year? We had quite a number....
  10. 2013 realistic expectations.... That i make it to my 50th Birthday. There are no realistic expectations for the MFC i mean who would have predicted the last 49 seasons!!
  11. Mate, Wong's cafe is on Glenhuntly Rd in the heart of the Gaza Strip. We should cross paths there during the "off"season.
  12. Lunch at Wong's Cafe last week was the same as it always is. Great...
  13. Haha! Bloody hell i am dead. I had no idea. "It's a fair cop Gov..."
  14. i did. Thats why i wrote it. In 2013 our forward line may well be capable of kicking more than 8 goals a game now on a reguliar basis. That is excitement in my view
  15. Of course. But the alternative was to do nothing. There is no pleasing some people.
  16. The Neeld factor is starting to work. There is excitement in our list evenif Denham refuses to see it.
  17. Didn't Carlton lose 12 in a row? Always far more blatant in my eyes....Nothing will ever change that view.
  18. Agree Burn BP not Lucas.. When his number was called up he said hello.... Bet he was bloody suprised.
  19. Thanks but i use Demonland to chill out...many take it far too seriously.
  20. The AFL as a business certainly do not want 10-20% of it's players under suspension at any one time...so i can see why they are worried as to what actually happens. This is a social problem. The AFL is not immune. The Players are well paid & are probably quite immune to the feeling of drugs in many ways because a pain killing drug to an AFL player is quite normal & expected.
