we have to stop talking about success being next year. That's what kills this club. Demand and expect some THIS YEAR. Its to easy to put it off. I have been on here for 10 years, and without fail next year has always been the one. I want some serious improvement this year.

I remember hearing Andy Maher the morning of the Kruezer Cup game, saying it made no sense for either side to win, with of course his Carlton Scarf on. The media was 50/50 promoting it and condemming it.

i said i would not buy another membership after this year if we did not go to court and instead rolled over. Well guess what??? If the FD and players show some fight this year i could be persuaded, but another showing like 2012...i stand by what i say. i am well aware of all that DL. But the VCGLR is an independant body to the AFL, just because the AFL signed off on all this yesterday it is not mandatory for the VCGLR to follow suit. The social clubs have been a concern of mine since Brock opened his trap.

The AFL is the only ones who signed off on yesterday...The MFC is once again in a vulnerable position. Whatever is in a written statement from the President 2 of our employees from 2009 have been banned from the game for periods of time. Their crime has to be something along the lines of "influencing results" to some degree. On top of that a fine of $500,000 is not imposed on an innocent party. So until the Gaming Authorities announce "we are satisfied" i am very concerned. I hate Gambling but $5 mill is a lifeline. To be the scapegoat of at least 6 clubs i will never forget. I am sure Mclardy was pressured big time last friday, but i am still disappointed this mess wasn't argued in court. The vultures are still circling. We did not remove them.

OX personally i would have prefered to go to court for the reason that the charges are shaky. I am seething we have been fingered when i believe other clubs did the same. But if our gaming licenses and Sponsors are solid i can begrudgingly cop it. We simply have to win at all costs now. We the supporters must make sure the FD is the number one priority as far as available funds. How we are not guilty but the head coach gets 16 weeks will always be a mystery to me. But we can attend next years draft so it could have been worse. On field we will be hated by other clubs who did the same. This must make us stronger. Us v Them from today.
