The No T$ No B$ Thread
Isnโt it interesting, as soon as we have an Arsenal visitor, some revert to soccer tactics instead of putting their body over it and picking the pill up. Salem did it numerous times. And Freo grow a leg of confidence from it smelling blood. Can they teach Langford to handball and on both sides of his body? Because he is an incomplete player if ever Iโve seen one. He only has a left foot and even that was missing last night.

HAD A GUTFULL
Had a gut full of:- โข The game is faster than ever, and in this game you need to handball. And I mean be able to handball with speed, penetration both hands. Ie. more than 5 metres. Harvey Langford cannot handball. He hasnโt improved since his diabolical presence on the Sunday Footy Show where he inexplicably couldnโt handball with his right hand at all. At all! His normal left handed handballs are powder puffs along with his decision making - puts his teammates under pressure. This stood out like the proverbial against Fremantle when the pressure was on. The only thing going for him is his left foot. And thatโs not enough for King Iโm afraid. โข This game isnโt soccer! I know we had a soccer visitor from Arsenal during the week, but pick the ball up Salem! Oppo smells blood when they see you to โopt outโ by not putting your body over the ball and picking the ball up - instead kicking it off the ground to no one - itโs a sign of frailty and weakness and the oppo grow a leg in confidence! Even the commentators picked up on it! [censored] weak !

Time to go Goody?
How are the development of our players tracking? Iโm talking the 1st-3rd year players. Windsor Jefferson Van Rooyen Tholstrup Lindsay Langford Iโm big on development and I like the development of Disco Turner and Howes who are more than capable at senior level. Lindsay has shown he is capable at times, and Langford is doing well so far - both regular gigs at senior level. Harvey needs to work on his right side - handball and kicking. Itโs a huge weakness and he has been found out. It was also most evident with his right hand in the SFS handball competition - he barely hit the board. Embarrassing. Windsor hasnโt progressed on from last season to be fair has been tried in different position. Van Rooyen has been in and out of team after a number of omissions, so too 2nd year Tholstrup. And Jefferson fees like he has been โdevelopingโ at Casey for an eternity. I wonโt mention Laurie, because I think the club know where he is at. How do we rate the performance of our assistant coaches ? They all need to take responsibility for poor performances such as the 1st quarter against Gold Coast. They werenโt prepared or ready. Whilst they can take a few positives on board such as doing their homework v Brisbane at the Gabba and Kings Birthday - to have results like those and yet have such abysmal displays like Port, StKilda and now GC - tells you theyโre not getting their preparations and homework right. Our 1st quarter analysis for the year โฆ? Itโs important in games to get off to a good start or at least a break even start. Just as important is to not get flogged and get put on the back foot. Too many times this season - we havenโt shown up. The buck stops with the coaches here. Not just the players. Whilst Goodwin is contracted to the end of 2026, the club needs to be proactive behind the scenes and doing their due diligence - looking after the shareholders of the club - its members. Failing this - it is a lack of governance. So even though Brad Green is the interim President, even though he may be โchummyโ with Simon, even though he publicly acknowledges that SG is our โonly living Premiership coach, and should be held in high respectโ โฆ he should not be immune from criticism when it comes to the performance of the team. Weโve had an easier fixture this season and failed to make finals already with still 7-8 games remaining. Weโve had many undisciplined acts on the field, leading to costly 50m penalties. Poor accuracy in front of goal. The best teams maintain good discipline, through strong leadership and strong coaching. Itโs that simple.

Time to go Goody?
The message that they heard was the outside noise which was deafening. Alarm bells were ringing, the coach under the blowtorch, and they finally figured - โhey, we better pull our collective fingers out, and go!โ The coaches also heard and read the noise and realized their jobs were on the line, and coached 24/7 during the week to give the season a pulse. You give the coach and players, way too much credit. Iโd like to give all the supporters and media credit for applying the blowtorch and putting everyone on notice. Note: * Letโs see how they back up, with the spotlight off them after a win.

Time to go Goody?
He had many stints in midfield last year with some success. It isnโt rocket science. Thereโs been calls to change the dynamic of the midfield. He missed the first few games through suspension and since back has been in the midfield.

Go and Get JUH
We donโt want at the Dees, that happened at the Dogs. Itโs a big NO.

GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Essendon
Hopefully those few Dees supporters who made the trip to Gather Round, eat up and drink at the Barossa. Make use of the weekend and drown their sorrows, thanks to the abysmal performance tonight. This standard just doesnโt cut it. If you canโt score in the modern game, you're not entertaining and youโre not in the game.

Fritsch is making Harry McKay look like a player thatโs actually worthy of the contract he is on.
