Yes, he played well. Although, you can take the blinkers off Jaded, if you think no one else in the side works 'as hard' as Miller. the likes of Rivers, McLean and Moloney work just as hard. So too Green & Bruce. I agree with your view if there were better forwards around him, he'd be a better forward. Even better if the delivery was Davey-like - like on Sunday. He wishes that too. Everyone makes mistakes now and then. McLean failed to hit him when it mattered too, after Miller made good position (sailing over his head). That gave him confidence and he was well and truly pumped when it sailed through. He loved that one.

Nice one bananas. Like yours too Jaded. "FFS, someone give Brucey a watch! In fact, Brucey wait until you get our directions from the bench - as to when we play TEMPO, don't take it upon yourself!! Did you have any idea as to what time of the quarter it was?"

OUT: Green (inj), Bate IN: Maric, Robertson

StKilda 28,101. I hope we knock them off in the Membership numbers race.

Beautiful. Got a call from Hamish Blake this morning...."Dob in a Demon", plus the email. Go Dees!
-
I heard Bruce on radio after the game, liken Petterd to Paul Medhurst........? You think Brucey?

Not at the 20 minute mark, surely. Agree totally. If Bruce did call it, it's fair to say that SEIKO, ROLEX won't be approaching him for marketing purposes after football. He might want to hire a personal assistant to make sure he's on time for future appointments too.

Colin Sylvia- Complaints, Congratulations and Comments

Apologies for the length of this post. Yes, a few assists, but the telling 2 goals from outside 50m on the run. There is not that many in the side that can do that. He's definitely got 'something'. Yes. He did tire in the last quarter I thought. He got caught which told me he was a little fatigued, hence slow decision making. Was good earlier. Outstanding second term. Correct. Fingers crossed. You are right Jaded. He did do a few good things in the second half however, so it wasn't exactly ONE. To be fair Jaded. Wouldn't say it's his best game to be honest. It was very good. Agree with influential, but there were others I thought. Bennell, Martin, Frawley, Miller and in particular Davey were also others. Bruce was ok Y_M. A few mistakes but he did ok. I was livid when he got caught holding the ball after stuffing around with Bartram & Co. when the team opted for 'TEMPO' at the 20min mark of the second quarter. A better opposition would of grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck at that point. Richmond kicked 2 before we got 2 before the break. A Geelong or StKilda would of gone in with almost a LEAD at half time. I wouldn't have given Sylvia best, but I would have named him in the best with a few others. Gleeson obviously saw him as the man that won the match in the second quarter - see his article. -
Agree. When I saw Jimma mark the ball in the cheer squad after the goal, full of emotion in front of 40,100 -odd. (which should of been 48,000 if Richmond supporters were fair dinkum) I thought, we'll win this. Loved it when Rivers sledged a toiger for squibbing it too.

Confirmed by Joel Bowden getting 40+ possessions in the backline, meaningless possessions at that.

Early call for AA, but not out of the question. He's hitting a purple patch. He seems to have a much better engine and is imposing himself on the teams game by getting all around the ground and positioning himself when needed. Might find himself being tagged soon. Surely, leading the B&F by a fair margin at the moment.

Not bad i give: 6 Davey 5 McLean 4 Miller 3 Martin 2 Sylvia 1 Moloney cheers HT edit: - apologies to Jones, Frawley & Rivers
-
I agree with his decision making and his urgency with the ball it has improved.
-
That would be Jetta.
-
Missed some easy shots and his kicking was wayward

Are you going to feel bad for Terry Wallace if the Dees win?
H_T replied to james1977's topic in Melbourne Demons
Totally agree. -
At that time there was no need. It was at the 20min mark of the 2nd quarter richmond kicked two before we kicked another 2 before the siren. It cost momentum which is very risky.
-
Its been a while between drinks but this one is going down a treat the likes of davey bennell jetta were exciting playing today. Moloney McLean and Sylvia were all good. Sylvia was gone at three quarter time tightness in back. Pity about green leaving ground.

yes playing well so far but at the 20min mark of the 2nd quarter why did we stop and end up with bruce caught holding the ball? we have just kicked another 2 to be back on track lead by 25 -
The Bulldogs were pleased that he left for the tigers. Well they're supporters did.

Add 3 to the tally Nugget Jones. Same three I dobbed in last year.
-
Not a major issue? I think it's massive in terms of the future viablity and success of the club. It's a major turning point in the club's history.
-
From memory, Richo played a blinder 1st game v Melb last year, and was pretty handy. I'd start Martin or Frawley on him if he starts up forward, leaning towards Martin. Like RR says perhaps Bruce on him if he's floating around the ground. From memory didn't Wheatley play on him last year around the ground at Telstra Dome?
-
It may. It may have an impact vanlo. Whilst it's unfortunate tragic and sad events may lead to a more focused and united team as well as a better 4 quarter performance sometimes. It does frustrate supporters abroad as to why teams can't play with the same vigour in a game when no-one is recognised such as this case.

You might be able to highlight - once, but I suggest you learn how to quote someone and sort out your reply, so it can make sense to the members & guests. How ironic. PS. I have friends & associates that are close to people/children suffering aspergers. I'm sure others do too. Like I said, I take exception to snide remarks such as these, as do others. Get the picture?
