  1. Totally agree.
  2. Who to put on Ablett then? Bartram? Dunn? McDonald? Bennell? Moloney? Bruce? ......all of the above?
  3. Which is a major worry as a FF prospect. I wouldn't. I would rather him take his time, take everything into consideration, like good full forwards do, weigh everything up. Rather than rush or make silly decisions at important moments. He's no Buddy Franklin (re: Banana shot). I have played pool. I understand where you are coming from with regard to the straight ones, I always like the ones on the angle myself. But hey, that's pool. If your on almost a 35-40 C angle, 20m out. Drop punt is a no-brainer. 18 games for 25 goals. This season he's kicked 2.7. He is 21 years old. Still young. But he desperately needs to work on his game now deanox, big time.
  4. Is this in reply to my side, petjud? Jetta has been okay. So too Bartram. I want to see Maric in for Jetta, that's all. You will note I still have Bartram in.
  5. What a great wake-up call for the AFL! Twighlight games (4:40pm) on a Sunday against a interstate side........doesn't work. I wanted to take my wife and kids. Whilst the weather was a major factor, we decided because they had school on Monday (today) we realised we wouldn't get back until 8:30pm or so. So I went instead. Many kids wouldn't have gone. (No wonder it seemed eerie). It's fair to say alot of their parents wouldn't have gone either. There's probably 10,000 alone. It's no wonder the attendance was 14,129. The answer, simple: Don't fixture a Sunday twilight game with Melbourne and an interstate side.
  6. FB: Frawley Warnock Martin HB: Petterd Rivers Bennell C: Sylvia Moloney Davey HF: Morton Miller Bruce FF: Bate Robertson Maric Foll: Spencer McLean Bartram Int: Johnson Jones McDonald Dunn IN: Spencer, Robertson, Maric OUT: Meesen, Newton, Jetta.
  7. Here, Here. Condolences to Clint and his family.
  8. Any of you guys see Fitzsimmons on the Channel 10 coverage on Anzac Day in the lead up to the game. He's written a new book thats being released, which seems interesting based on accounts of WWI/Gallopoli with the Anzacs. It seems a good read. Anyone read it yet?
  9. Agree. Thank god it didn't rain. I managed to get a park just outside Gate 2. Had they opened the doors wide open, I could of stayed and watched in the car and tooted the horn 4 times (4 goals).
  10. SHould expect quality in return. In short.
  11. Yeah, I'm very happy with Frawley, do you agree now 45h?. I like the way our backline is taking shape. Good foundation to build on. Midfield and Forward line next. C'mon. Time is ticking.
  12. Agree. Agree with your view of Bennell too. He was ok tonight. Love his tackling and harrassing too. Good call Krazy Jay. Tonight he was Bruce Mark II. So often holding onto the ball too long, not using the first correct option, getting caught, missing the target with handball after handball. Was so frustrating.
  13. 6. Davey 5. Frawley 4. McLean 3. Moloney 2. McDonald 1. Rivers ....Apologies to Sylvia, Petterd & Bennell for the 1.
  14. Yes. He doesn't put any value on his goal kicking at all. Not one current full forward - except Buddy - would of even contemplated a checkside kick then. He was no where near the boundary. I would of rather have seen a left foot kick than a checkside/banana. Look at Dunn. He took his time, gave himself plenty of space between him and the mark and really wanted to kick that goal. And he snagged it from on 50m. Really?? The best thing he did all night was the 'skewiff mongrel kick' that landed in Dunn's hands. He even stuffed that kick up! Rare Indeed.
  15. Morton was very average tonight with disposal. Newton doesn't value his goalkicking at all. PJ couldn't get the ball to stick all night and neither could Jones. My best were Davey Frawley McLean and Moloney
  16. cheers
  17. thats it Newton is officially the worst player in the AFL
  18. Mmm. I would have preferred a draw.
  19. With almost 3,000 unsigned members from last year, it's not impossible. Well done AdelaideDemon. Welcome aboard.
  20. Well they would be completely naive to think that, even though it does contribute to Anzac Day. The increased awareness within education/school level and Anzac ceremonies held within schools recognising fallen heroes also contribute to what it is. Let's also not forget the pilgrimage to the shores of Gallipoli each year.
  21. Watching a bit of the Hawthorn-West Coast game today. I find it unbelievable as to how many left footers they have in the Hawks team: - Hodge Roughead Franklin Lewis Rioli Dew Young Birchall Guerra Moss there are more.....
  22. Interesting list. Whilst it may be a worthwhile exercise, I think your a tad too early tbh. Out of interest, why does it have to be "six" spots you want to free up? It could be 4 or 5. I think the ones in danger at the moment are Whelan, Bell. Still, we are only 4 rounds in with plenty of footy to be played.
  23. I agree on all points titan. Last night's last post at the Port v St.K game, just didn't sit well with me. It should be heard on Anzac Day only IMO. In particular the feature Anzac match.
