  1. Good call here, rpfc. And to Y_M, wd also.
  2. Cue guess who...
  3. Just for you Vanlo......then you can stop giving this thread the *Bump* every few weeks..
  4. Scott Selwood is the younger one. I thought it was him. Adam Selwood the elder one.
  5. Talk of him coming under scrutiny from the Match Review Panel for contact with Selwood of West Coast (the younger version). He hasn't been cited, yet.
  6. Awesome Moloney. He'd be great taking off Jimmy Barnes!
  7. Finding it hard to disagree with that 'leadership group' Y_M. The only thing is I'd have a case for McLean over Rivers. I'd also be pushing for Grimesssss soon. Even though he has only played 9 games. But that's just where we are at with our list.
  8. Correct.
  9. He's not bad is he?.......young Grimes.
  10. Valenti's figures...? Is he injured or was it a quiet game?
  11. Geelong have a Premiership & Brad Ottens. Adelaide have Scott Thompson. We have a passionate Moloney (bad bout of OP) who loves belting out our song.
  12. Ok. At the moment Hawkins isn't even half decent. Here are a few that are half decent, but are they worth pursuing or would the opposition clubs let them even go?: - Josh Hill Mitchell Clark Barry Hall Sean Rusling
  13. In terms of a balance list, you need to identify where our list has holes in it. Some would say it looks like a slice of swiss cheese at present. I think we are all of the opinion that our midfield will be operated on at the end of year. Talk of Tom Scully is just mouth watering. Another midfielder could well be what the club has in mind, despite earlier spruiking a KPF is on the shopping list. I think Melbourne supporters would feel we still need another presence down forward. With Robbo's career coming to a close, the failure of Newton to make the most of his opportunities to date, the ever frustration with Miller and to a lesser degree Bate. We need someone else to take up the slack for the future with Watts, Jurrah and Co. So, I still think a KPF may still be on the shopping list, how quick we fill this void is the question. Through the draft/pre-season draft or trade....? Will it be filled at the end of this year, or left until next year when Gold Coast come in. Whichever way, Melbournefc needs to be vigilant and very smart. This could be the 'key ingredient' to create the right chemistry or synergy if you like for the Melbournfc to go faaarrrr into September in a few years time. In my opinion we may even unearth something in Martin or even Garland up forward. Unless something really good pokes its head up come draft/pre-season draft time this year, we concentrate on drafting midfielders this year, then I would be inclined to wait another 12 months - see how Martin/Garland progress as forward options - then see when Gold Coast come in, see if we can draft or trade for a good pick/player (KPP) prospect then. IMO anyone in the 18 to 23 year bracket so they can mature/grow with the likes of Grimes, Watts, Morton, Jurrah, Blease, Strauss, Frawley, Maric, Wonaeamirri, etc.
  14. If we add 7 players younger than Garland to the list, and the likes of McDonald, Roberston, Whelan, PJ, Bell, Buckley and one other (Wheatley or Bail) go, of course we will have a younger list. How young is too young by the way? At least this way - through youth - we will be able to determine by replenishing the list, other avenues to a much better list than one which would appear 'much the same'. When you're a side that has won 5 of it's last 36 games....and you've already well into started rebuilding through youth & developing......I'd prefer they keep going with this blueprint. If some players become available through trade that are worthwhile for our current list, fine. They don't necessarily have to be between the ages of Garland & Rivers. Getting someone like Steven Salopek (who has played 90 + games) wouldn't be improving the list from my point of view. Others may beg to differ. But in 5 years time when the side is well on the up, he will be reaching the end of his best footy. And what exactly is his best footy? It's not outstanding.
  15. The jury is out on whether Geelong even want to contemplate not keeping him? What makes you think this? Let me guess, you listened to SEN earlier at a disgruntled supporter, saying Hawkins should go, because he did nothing against StKilda? Am I right?
  16. If we have near the same amount of tackles against Port in the first half, that we had against West Coast, we'll go along way to another win. Port are as soft as butter (the game against Brisbane an exception).
  17. C.Sylvia.
  18. When the hell is Pavlich back for Fremantle.......Crikey!
  19. Does anyone know where I can find a complete list of the team sheets of each of the sides named before each round played in the TAC Cup Championships?
  20. Port Adel looked good against Brisbane. They will be desperate, now they've got back in the eight. They will not want to drop this one.
  21. The footage of those marks you've posted, sooo many were taken over G.Lyon's back when he played.
  22. Don't worry, the tide will turn soon. Nice to have you on board. PS. Collingwood is constantly referred to the "Filth" on this site. A little crude. But fitting. Just in case you weren't sure when you come across it from time to time.
  23. That's a fair list Condemned84. Anyone you don't like Can't stand Nick Cave. Never heard of Dead Kennedy's. Going to Pink concert next month. Should I be excited? Because I'm not.
  24. Really impressed by Warnocks game. Stood up. Eerie that he wears No.37.
  25. Were the dogs fed that morning?
