from a sentimental pov i really like it and hope it's a success from a practical and skeptical pov it looks like it could end up another giants, suns millstone for a number of reasons

tassy is never going to accept anything other than a genuine tassy based team np sharing, no relocating a 20th team solves the bye issue but trying to start two new teams at the same time would be so disruptive requiring 90 new players and massive concessions affecting existing teams. expect them to go 1 team at a time
  12. reckon duxy would make a formidable inside mid. what's his handball skills like?

here's one way byes could be handled first 19 rounds each team has a bye assuming 23 rounds that leaves 4 more rounds with a bye bottom 4 each have a bye over rounds 20 - 23 after round 23 the finalists each have a bye but the bottom 4 plays their round 23 game (i.e. 2 games) so 24 weeks and every team has played 23 games comments? p.s. or alternatively week 24 the bottom 4 teams play their round 23 concurrently with the first week of the finals.
  14. is he the brother that is taller than rooey?
  15. what did my expert eyes say in a previous post? spooky, huh?
  16. so, are passe "normal" handballs now to called "above ground handballs"? asking for a friend
  17. and the ump doesn't insist the player with the ball goes back on the line properly the line is a line from middle of goals through the mark extending back to player with ball this is most noticeable when the mark is set on the wings or flanks. the player with ball invariably is way off the line, closer to the corridor than the line, often by 10m or more
  18. it's never been off a stationary hand that i can remember must be clearly moved off by clenched fist (not open palm) off the holding hand *** *** except during short period flick pass was allowed again it's umpire interpretation that has changed plus more players with super fast handballs now umps previously didn't give benefit of doubt if it looked "dodgy" now they do unless they clearly see a throw (which can be quite problematic) of course players take full advantage of the ump's reluctance and game it. i've always called for some expert slow motion video examination to study and determine how much real throwing is going on but i don't think the afl could give a rat's rz
  19. your first mistake was trying to explain afl rules to a non-follower
  20. nyet

or another sociopath on the spectrum, r&b ?
  22. played with no system the whole game gaping holes and bad decision making everywhere, not to mention horrible disposal just hope it's a one-off
  23. i've only watched the last half of the 2nd quarter and casey seem to be playing with no energy at all so slow, lazy and sloppy. doesn't look like a casey team, more like a team of cardboard cut-outs better pull out the finger in the 2nd half
  24. joke, joyce knew it would trigger mr stone
  25. my expert instant eye analyser says 6'6" or in woke terms 198cm (4" shorter than max)
