Bombers Request Friday Night Game In Round 1 2017
daisycutter replied to solly21's topic in Melbourne Demons
GAFY bummers -
i reckon we'll beat the scum by 29%

>50 points over 3 games is a good enough guide. knock it all off tomorrow and we can forget about maths for a while
-
but we don't have to get to 107.6 everything counts on north losing next week, so if they lose (even by just 1 point) their % drops below 107.6 at this stage of the game best to just track points difference
-
preferably have a clause making him play in a burqa
-
>50 points now required over 3 games (avg 17 per game) let's knock it all off tomorrow
-

wasn't referring to you, red and yes as i understand it they have only threatened to sue and a deal is being done to pay compensation to avoid a court case just saying that the guilty getting compensated doesn't sit quite right with me, though i sort of understand why

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 22
daisycutter replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
being wet on sunday looks problematic have checked 4 different weather services and they all differ greatly on rain, but all seem to roughly agree on temp, wind and cloud cover. -
seems essendon's assets have been largely unaffected. there was an article in the media in last few days showing the asset value of all clubs. guess who was comfortably on top.
-
another point is the lack of players playing 1st class cricket overseas when not on australian duty and getting experience on different conditions this is brought about by the increase in australian fixtures with test, od and t20 filling up more of the calendar. playing t20 overseas (e.g. india) doesn't really count as it is not 1st class cricket
-
agree. i don't remember storm getting any priority after they were forced to play a whole season for zero points. terrible logic at play here.

Max Gawn on radio today (19 August 2016)

that's what sprung into my mind too -
i still find it quite strange the essendrug players suing for compensation (seemingly without much opposition) when they were found guilty by cas and no essendon officials were charged or found guilty (by wada/cas). i know there was worksafe charges sustained against the club, but still it just seems to give the bad impression that convicted drug cheats can profit financially in the courts (or the threat of court action)
