in general i don't disagree i think though the afl match attendance with mandatory pre-ticketing is a special case. ticketek/ticketmaster data should be at least 95-98% accurate.....that's a high bar. that's what piqued my curiosity would be interesting to compare last nights data from ticketmaster with dhss's qr data to see which is more comprehensive. maybe not just last nights data but say after about 5 rounds when people get better/worse at the routine

i haven't seen any indication ticketek/ticketmaster wouldn't cooperate for privacy reasons.......and we are still operating under state-of-emergency laws. it's because of covid that all tickets must be pre-sold through the ticketing coys with reserved seats so i would presume the ticketing companies are all on-board unless i hear something to the contrary
-
i still think ticketek/ticketmaster would have the most accurate statistics of who was at the ground and where. The turnstyles are controlled by them. A simple sql script run against their db, at the end of the game could have a file sent to dhss. I's not rocket science (it101) and dhss are already downloading and processing such files already personally, i'll comply with whatever is mandated, but i just can't see a qr based system at the footy ground would be more accurate than what is already available from ticketek/tickemaster

there is also the issue that some (many?) are using a different qr scanning app than the dhss app. there are quite a few when you go to the app store and have been there longer than the dhss app. just saying
-
i can't believe the qr scanning will be adequately checked by officials coz it would take too many people and time. there is also a minority of people who will wilfully not do it or say they had. I heard a few on the radio today anyway......it will be interesting to see if the # of qr scans harvested by dhss match the afl attendance figures, but i suspect these qr figures will not be publicised anyway2,,,,,good discussion.....
-
true, but the turnstyles also log the ticketmaster barcode
-
maybe i'm missing something here, but why is a QR code scan required for entry to afl games in victoria? surely, because all entry must be booked beforehand on ticketek/ticketmaster with fixed reserved seats, then all the info required for contract tracing is already recorded sure, some people could scalp their tickets to unknown people, but likewise many people won't scan (or just pretend) a qr code

doubt it was about money. bound to be a disagreement between both parties on player management and development. carlton probably wanted it all there way, whilst nb wanted to pick best side on merit and play players in best position to win games
-
this sounds odd. home/away members should be eligible from 10am are you sure ALL 4 barcodes you entered are home/away memberships? i noticed on ticketek last week that eligibility to book at a certain time and the pool available is based on the LEAST favourable barcode (when multiple entered) though i did note your tickets seem to be all on a family membership

this is the only relevant point :)

i agree i thought dangerfield executed the bump with a fair degree of malice, driving in hard, leaning forward, and intended to knock kelly into next week. no doubt he was motivated by the crows giving the cats a lesson and wanting to "make a statement" to lift his side i'd also point out that it was not a classic side-on shoulder to shoulder bump. danger was actually in front of kelly and coming in on an angle (see overhead video shot shown earlier) such that the impact was not to kelly's shoulder but his right hand chest area increasing the odds of a head hit and why his nose was broken rather than his ear squished. all this and being late and hitting player clearly after disposal and defenceless danger's claim that he bumped with a duty of care to kelly is just laughable
-
make that option 1 and i'd agree

and a sample of ............ 1
-
luci, i think the head got hit twice. firstly by dangermouse's head the when hitting the turf. additionally he looked like he was unconscious before he hit the turf

is careless the new reckless? lol

and clarkson advising their doctors to ignore the afl 12 day indicator and replace it with a "not fit enough to see out game" alternative. he's doubly arrogant in saying so publicly his only sop to the afl is telling the doctor to let the afl work it out after the game the afl need to provide precise instructions directly to club doctors consistent with what the afl has said publicly i won't be holding my breath.....
