think you'll find they were nailed (not rivetted). the 5 dots on each stud are the nail heads these were the dreaded aluminium stops (as against leather or plastic). Very dangerous when they developed a sharp edge, hence why the then ritual of the umpire visiting change rooms before game to inspect each players boots. aluminium studs now banned and all studs now moulded to sole or screw in (no more nails)
  4. superstar will become the new standard......star on the way out, too bland #nostradaisy
  5. and we'll probably never fully know i think sam mcclure was wrong to unequivocally state he was seriously wanting to leave just based on a talk with an opposition coach which is becoming more common theses days as part of contract bargaining and player management tactics

only caspar or the kkk could like any of those excrescent white eyesores ?
  7. but as one of the others said he could have just been bumping up his value at his managers direction just because he met teague (if he did) doesn't necessarily mean he wanted out i imagine it wouldn't be hard to talk a player into "just have a conversation, no commitment, no harm, everyone does it"

  18. i didn't have to (after trying numerous wrong options for 1hr45min) finally got 3 seats in "melbourne allocated 1", "reserved general admittance" (all other options ended up costing $$s)
  19. daisycutter replied to a post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
yes, that was original reason back then but it's not the reason we went back to it as a clash jumper a couple of years ago
  20. yes but having a reserved seat doesn't work for "compensation away game". it's all "melbourne allocation"/ "reserverd general admission",
  21. you have to use "reserved ga". it's right at bottom of list (after you select "melbourne allocation 1"
  22. yes, i'm aware of using junior tickets (1-5 yo). i used it round one so grandkids could sit with me on lvl2 didn't help me though for this away game as reserved means nothing, everything is "reserved general admission"
  23. i'd always thought caulfield race track ticked quite a few boxes, but i wasn't aware the redevelopment was going to be this big. i presume that tall buildings inside the track will have harsh height restrictions, so administrative facilites might need to be on the outside periphery of the track and finally, the time to move in might be too many years out. it's a huge development. i wonder how much consideration the club had to this option?
  24. mr ed is definitely in my favourite player list i just feel so comfortable whenever he is in the play. hardly anyone can lay a glove on him. never loses his footing.
