  1. dreamin is saying that he clearly loves to be photographed doing what most would prefer to do in private. Not conclusive proof that he's a dill but hardly a sign of superior intelligence either. Are you trying to defend the Captain of Carlton who not only accepts morally corrupt payments to play but also eye gouges and then stands around while a 17 year old is forced into drunken oblivion?
  2. Just for interest's sake are you agreeing with what I'm saying or just that I'm guessing on that particular point
  3. I'm talking only at Carlton here and he's been singled out here because he chose to go to Carlton and in doing so accepted a morally corrupt payment from Visy. He thought all was rosy as the captaincy was handed to him on a platter. As he's now learning being the Captain comes with some further responsibilities and after watching the Brownlow debacle unfold next to him and then allowing Levi to be turned into amusement shows he's either out of touch or out of his depth. I'm guessing it's the latter. Yes he's an excellent player but throw the latest issues in with the eye gouge(not his first by the way) and he's not a Captains [censored].
  4. No we don't know what Judd is like off the field but it's not the first time he either hasn't put a stop too trouble or he hasn't been able too. The fact remains that he chose Carlton and I'm just loving how well it's all turning out for the two of them.
  5. They are fast becoming a laughing stock and I for one am delighted
  6. That would be the same Judd who was suspended for eye gouging. Now there'e a man's man. He and the Blues are a perfect fit. Belting them in the years to come and watching the look on Judd's face as Scully, Trengove, Grimes et al cut them to pieces is going to be as sweet as it comes.
  7. Only when it's wrong P.S. It's just my opinion. Don't let me or anyone else around here upset you, just sling some back and move on, Have a great Xmas
  8. Gone, And just quietly I think you should too
  9. Congratulations to the current board for 1. finally looking long term with regard to the FD. 2. for reducing the massive debt left to the club by the previous admin. 3. for helping to unite a terribly divided and disallusioned supporter base. 4. For returning the passion to our once proud club, you are the first board in my lifetime that has succeeded in doing this.
  10. I do know better and I'd say someone's getting too big for their boots.
  11. THE GOOD Jones (With the effort he puts in it's going to click one day) Grimes (already payed some blinders) Jamar (Could become the league's best ruck by year's end) Sylvia (in reality 09 was his breakout year, I think 2010 will be even bigger) Wonaeamirri (once uninjured will burn it up) Maric (once he finds confidence on the big stage he will be every bit as good as we hope) Frawley (Will just get better and better) Bennell (Andrew Mcleod type, obviously not as good........yet!) Jetta (I think many underate this guy, the club certainly doesn't) Rivers (with a full preason will return to 04 form and then some, leaving doubters in his wake) Morton (could become our best) THE BAD Tapscott fails to live up to expectations as another big school boy finds the transition to AFL hard) THE UGLY Newton (say no more)
  12. Why is the travel bad? With a good warm up an hour or so in a car would make no difference. The players probably sit or lie around at home longer than that before training anyway.
  13. Probably not, but not as happy as those who got pick 11 for him.
  14. I'll bet with anyone that Miller is, injuries aside, in our 22 for Round 1 2010. Players like Miller were never supposed to be the main forward target, espcially in a team with the worst midfield in the AFL. In 2010 he'll have a more developed and experienced Matthew Bate, Liam 'Say no more' Jurrah, Colin 'I've arrived, sorry I was late' Sylvia, Jack 'I will be the best forward ever soon enough' Watts, Ricky 'Can Play" Petterd around him not to mention a host of rotating and classy midfielders/forwards to kick it down his throat. A person of his character will find a way, and I think we'll all enjoy watching.
  15. I'd expect Jurrah to be hit pretty hard by the opposition next season. 2010 is a whole new ball game. We'll be trying to win and clubs will need to turn up and play if they want the 4 points. We'll be full of run and bravado and players like Jurrah will come under close scrutiny. I doubt vey much whether he'll dominate many games like some of you think. No doubt he'll have some hot patches but the likes of Miller, Bate. Pettard, Sylvia and Martin are going to have to do most of the work if we are to start winning games. The forward line's improvement will need to come mainly from an improved midfield and that's still a while away.
  16. Davey, Bruce, Green, Warnock, Moloney, Jones, Petterd, Miller, Bate, Sylvia, Morton, Maric, Wonaeamirri, Garland, Grimes, Jamar, Jurrah. Then add Watts, Martin. Strauss, Blease, Jetta, Bennel, Scully, Trengove, Tapscott and Gysberts. For mine that's 27 pretty good reasons why this club (injuries aside) could easily win 8 games, possibly as many as 12. . .
  17. The argument over what number forward a player is hardly relevant at the MFC in 2010. None of Watts, Jurrah ar Martin can lay claim to the No. 1 tag. All three are young, inexperienced and will be dealing with a group of midfielders who are pretty much the same. The likes of Bate, Green, Sylvia and Miller are still going to make up the 'meat' in a forward line chock full of potential but light on for bulk and/or experience. I wouldn't be surprised if Watts was played as an attacking wingman while he gets a feel for the game. As for Jurrah, well he'll probably find life a lot harder this year as clubs begin to understand what a talent he is. Martin's a big boy and is going to take several more years to become the player we hope he will be, he's not a number 1 forward by a long long way.
  18. Have they confirmed jumper changes? Wasn't the V going to be sharper as well?
  19. The whole club's at the crossroads. Fail from here and we're in the Poo big time.
  20. A team mate of Chris Johnson I believe.
