Saints still have a massive task to get into the 8 simply based upon percentage. Those games have really cost them a solid run at the 8.

    Looks like they are home

Where was the sling tack on Jone's?

Really don't talk about any players getting injured especially our own. Don't want to jinx us.

Saints are up and about at the moment.

Is it kick a point day.... gee poor start again.

Competitive start by blues, better if they could kick straight. Hawks - I guess they just heard their coach has been sacked, it does affect players, as they start thinking of what Mitchell wants and not Clarkson...

On the cats outs yes, but on structure/system no. Hopefully the blues and swans get up this week.
  9. Because its the midfield... if they don't fire the ball doesn't get to the forwards....as for the GF, done by the final system of the time. Missed opportunity
  10. Correct, We have a system and the players to implement it to beat any side. Now it's all about concentration. Its does not take a big drop off to see teams challenge us. Looking at this season, mentally we are ready for top 8 sides, part of team seems to drop off against bottom 8 sides. Yesterday we almost overran them, that last quarter we were in control and fitter but couldn't buy goal. Lots of attempts including shots that missed (Short or wide). It shows the team can pressure when they switch on.

The ground suits Sydney style of play more than WC, but they have been woeful. getting old and too many injuries.
  12. No, they are just learning that you need 100% concentration and focus to sustain success.
  13. Tried to win by waiting to the last. Controlled it for most of the quarter but could not buy a goal. Some really poor decisions, while I don't blame hunt for the loss, gee. kick it earlier. Too many fumbles and lack of intense pressure around the ball for most of the game... Fortunately there is always next week, but we need a solid fwd target. Looks like BBB is the only option. Time to find out.
  14. Salem, at last!
  15. Wow the waltzed it out of defence through the centre, very lazy
  16. No pressure.... easy marks from their defenders.
  17. GWS running better to position around packs at the moment

didn't matter last week when they had the same opportunity

I agree, as it takes a whole club/playing list to win a GF, not just the 22 on the field.
  20. Been bloody woeful so far in defence, players standing by themselves... Good goal by Gawn.
  21. Who'll go first, Teague or Ratten? Will be the news for the next week or so.
  22. darkhorse72 replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
It is evident of one of two things. Teague has not set a defensive structure in place and working to ensure that standard is being met or there is one and the players haven't bought, meaning they aren't playing to their ability. It is a mental/cultural problem if there is a decent game plan and the players are not following it.
  23. Hopefully we keep playing like "Demons" ala the beast!
  24. Not sure who signed mine, actually threw it out the other day as part of a the yearly purge. Could have been Neeld.
  25. Given the nature of AFLW at the moment and the last start for many, I can see players playing well beyond what happens in the male comp. Its not as wearing on the body as the impacts are not as hard (At the moment) and its a much shorter season. I guess most is time off work and getting through the expectations of a club including the preseason.
