  1. The club where he is on the list. Also, Wojinski is a far better player than tenace.
  2. Only for two years. End of 2010 is the danger period for uncontracted players.
  3. "You don't need good disposal to be a good player". Now I have heard it all.
  4. Bell is a regular who has over 60 games of experience, while the other two are bit players who have 40 games between them and have played about 5 games each this year. No way in the world would pick 19 be part of that deal. Pick 19 is to be used to get the third of our young future stars, not wasted.
  5. We should sign Petterd and Spencer for three years to avoid the Gold Coast problem.
  6. MAYBE BELL FOR THOMSON AND BENTLEY.
  7. Don't bet on it, he signed with Freo for two years as did Murphy.
  8. See my thread "Pick 1 what is it worth". If someone knows how to link it, feel free to do so.
  9. Know nothing about Bentley. Griffen is rumoured to want to return to Perth where Freo are interested, naturally. Tenace and Ray are no better than Simon Buckley imo.
  10. Not much reason to bluff, as if he wants him at trade week we would know immediately.
  11. No, your option doesn't give up too much. If we still got Watts at three then we would be getting Mundy and Warnock for one player.
  12. Do the Dockers really want Rich? If they do, the only way to get him is with our Pick 1, as the Eagles will almost certainly claim him with pick 2. If the Dockers really do want Rich, then we are their only avenue and trades could be proposed. Would it then be possible to get Warnock and Mundy for a Melbourne player or two and a swap of picks, 1 for 3. This could be an attractive deal for both clubs. Of course if this happened the Eagles might target Watts rather then NikNat. Interesting!
  13. Or it could go some thing like this: Warnock to Carlton Griffen ( Adelaide ) home to Freo. Fisher ( Carlton ) to Adelaide. Pick 24 ( Carlton ) to Freo. Or Warnock could go elsewhere.
  14. Correct. Career ruined by a plate glass door.
  15. Try this on for size, 2009 approximate salaries: $ Judd 1m Fevola 750k Stevens 500 Warnock 400 Murphy 400 Thornton 350 ( wanted to leave and got more ) Waite 300 Gibbs 300 Fisher 250 Simpson 250 Houlihan 250 Cloke 250 Kreuzer 100 ( 300 at least 2010 ) Betts 200 Walker 200 Carazzo 200 Hadley 200 Bannister 150 Russell 150 Wiggins 150 Ackland 150 O'Hailpin 150 That is $6.65 for 22 players. If the list is 42 then the other 20 players are sharing about $1m if the cap is $7.5M ( I stand to be corrected on cap figure ). That is about $50k a player. Given that new draftees are on about $50k I think, then the Blues must have about 20 players earning aprox $50k each. I don't think so.
  16. How many players have we lost to injury over the years? Ox, Lyon, Jakovich, Prymke, Dean, Charles, Pickett, Rivers, Robbo, Davey, McLean, Moloney, Whelan, etc, etc, etc.
  17. So am I and I am 56, 175cms and overweight.
  18. Would that mean that Cloke and Ackland are for the chop? Does anyone have an opinion on Hampson, is he worth pursuing given that his club has now seemingly bypassed him?
  19. Trifecta. We strike out on all three.
  20. Lets face it we have been knocked from pillar to post this year. We have been told by the AFL we stand for nothing, finished last, sacked two CEO's, had another reject us, had our Board walk, lost money and ended up $5m in debt, dithered over our new training base ( Olympic Park, Casey ) among other lowlights. What to do? Raising $3.1m in a month to ease the debt is a great start. Promoting a closer relationship with the wealthy and powerful MCC is also a positive and who knows where that will end up. Uniting all of the factions/divisions within the club is another positive. Having 3 picks inside the top 20 at the Draft is another. Appointing CS as CEO with his experience should be another. Adopting a business plan/model that can be successful going forward will be another. Finding more sponsors will be another. Trimming the list of players who are not part of our future is another. Completing a fairly successful trade week will be another ( not expecting a miracle ). Getting a good player in the PSD is another. Having given game time to young players like Garland, Maric, Martin, Frawley, Wona, Grimes, Valenti, Buckley, C J etc is another. Having found a coach who is prepared to develop youth and remain totally focussed is another. Improving the fitness/injury/strength side of training is another. Having a home base during summer, instead of being gypsies is another. Having some luck with injuries and getting our better players on the park next year is another. Having our supporters talk the club up instead of putting it down is another. Promoting any positive in the press will be another. Probably the most important, having the side play a good brand of football next year. These and many more things are part of improvement and making our club strong on and off the field again. If we can get our act right the Warnocks of this world might pick us instead of others. PS. If Warnock does go to the Blues I hope he costs them a trade that they regret in years to come. I dislike that club more than any other and wish it 12-14th position on the ladder for the next 20 years.
  21. Lets hope he is as good a brother as you are. Welcome to Demonland.
  22. Hilarious. We get investigated yet the suggestion is he wants to go to Carlton. Would he decide that on his own or would he have been spoken to? When would that have been, yesterday or during the season? I note Icke flew over to speak to him several weeks ago. Anyone investigating Carlton? Last year they were so far up Judd's backside during the season but no investigation either. Wouldn't it be wonderful. They get Warnock as well as Judd, we get investigated and they laugh at us again. Hope not.
