Do you think if I suggested that Byrnes retire, it could create a firestorm like the Junior one? IMO Byrnes should have played his last game for the club. I would have no problem with him playing for Casey as long as he was off our list. Maybe a playing assistant coach role for Casey.

Possibly or, the Medical Board or purely reputation. For it to be medical Insurance or the medical board, the players would have to be his patients and what was done, would have had to have occurred in that relationship. I am unsure whether every player at a club, could be considered the patient of a part time doctor at all times.That seems illogical to me. I would imagine that the player only becomes a patient during an actual consultation or course of treatment. I would consider attending to an incident as treatment. It seems to me that the club hires the Doctor and provides his services to the players as required and when receiving treatment, or advice, the player is the Doctor's patient. I get the feeling that this guy has been seriously hurt and wounded by this affair and he wants to protect his reputation and along with it his career.

Allegation that Ron Barassi was zoned to the future club GWS and all premierships won after Ron started playing and before as well, will be stripped from the club. AD declares this has brought the game into disrepute and all Melbourne players will be given to GWS.

It will be interesting to see if any players walk out on the basis the club put their health and safety at risk. Their contracts could be null and void as a result. Also interesting to see if any player litigation against the club commences. The vultures are circling.

It won't happen. The AFL will wait until it dies down and do a deal, where what he admits, doesn't affect his livelihood. Watch this space.

Rhino I am not sure what you mean about the irony as I believe that I generally play the issue on here not the man. Sometimes we agree and other times we don't, but that is normal for honest debate.I believe I have stuck to the facts and if you don' t, I am disappointed. I have only one issue in this discussion with you and that is IMO Andersen ran with this while AD was away on the back of Brock's comments, whether or not they were coupled with Bailey's, which incidentally had already been investigated 18 months earlier and not repeated by him since. So I fail to understand how Bailey's comments of 18 months earlier which had been cleared can be coupled with Brock's. Of course that is not my real point and I will repeat it. The AFL investigated US and no one else despite others making worse allegations against other clubs and despite an acknowledgement in the media that we were one of SEVERAL clubs that tanked. Yes we tanked, but so did others, but we were the least powerful of those clubs and copped it.

If it was Barrett, then I will put my money on Kevin Rudd to coach us.

Which comments are you referring to and who made them? My understanding is that we had already been investigated by the AFL and cleared, as AD confirmed. AD also said we did nothing wrong and that was in a Caro column. There was not the slightest hint at all, that we would be investigated again, until Brock's comments OTC. Now please stick to the facts and the argument. You said Brock's comments only reinforced others. You therefore suggest that it was not Brock's comments that got us investigated, but rather others to which he merely added. Please elaborate.
