You refer to an assertion that Dank had no involvement when I think you mean it was an implication. An assertion is an actual statement and that is not the case. Then you conclude that an SMS to meet someone later, means that they actually met. I hope you are never on a jury judging me.

What untruths?

I'm with you on this. The readiness of some on here to just want to convict and hang the club, without any real knowledge of the facts, just astonishes me too. Those same people want our players to go hard, while they are as soft as butter in their support.

Because it was the correct thing to do. That media conference alerted the football world to a potential problem with a person.

I have reread the club statement for the third time. If accurate, Dank was never employed by the club. Dank may have discussed supplements with the club Doctor. Dank never personally gave anything to a player. The Doctor supervised the program and after checking, approved all supplements given. There is no allegation of any banned substance being given to an MFC player. The Clinic has confirmed any supplements given were as ordered by the Doctor and given by a registered Nurse. Any connection/discussion with Dank was severed when his position was challenged in the Essendon announcement. There are no no hidden contracts with players. There are no stomach injections alleged. There is no suggestion of any Coaches being injected with banned substances. Everything went through the club Doctor as is now prescribed by the AFL. The conclusion by many on here is that the club has lied to the AFL when it said that Dank was never employed by the club, or administered substances to players, or prescribed substances to players. At worst a Doctor has discussed substances with Dank, that he later checked and found were not illegal or banned and in some instances prescribed their use under his supervision. This is nothing like the Bombers situation,where they can't even say what drugs were injected into player's stomachs 12 months later, let alone secret contracts and Dank heading the program and bypassing the club Doctor.. Here we go again.

First, my post is in reference to us saying he was never employed by the club. Second, what if the SMS messages are fake or he never actually met the players? Third, how is it direct contact witht the players if the SMS is to a Doctor and he then never got to meet the player?

What, are you for real? If you are asked a question and you answer it truthfully, then according to you, unless you volunteer other matters, you have lied.

What if he was never employed by the Club and everything he provided or advised, was checked by the Doctor, ok under the WADA code and done through him. Then the statement is 100% accurate. Is it not possible he was advising on the use of legal supplements, to be supplied through one of his connections and was never employed by the club? No lets just sack everyone, without giving them the chance of reply.

You may be right. If given as medical treatment, not banned and given by the Doctor, then there may be legal action avaialble to those mentioned. Remember how angry the AFL was when the results of Hawks drugs tests were found in the street and released to the media.

Briefed will run next week, maybe Anzac Day at Flemington. Ran 2nd in a trial and going well. Anluan should be off for her first start in a couple of weeks. Le Beau Cheval will run in Sydney somewhere in next week.
