I think it was Footy Classified Monday where Hutchy said Roos was on $1.3m already, with all of his different jobs. He is on TV, a motivational speaker, a clomnist and does some lesser level coaching, that i know of. If that is true, he clearly doesn't need the money. If he is not 100% motivated to coach, end of story.

I am actually stunned at people who say they don't want an advantage or assistance. Clubs will do anything to win and be successful, even taking drugs, yet some on here say they don't want something that will help. Yes a PP or mini draft pick doesn't guarantee success, but it will help. It could be traded for 2 reasonable mids, for example. Has anyone heard the Pies refusing to play 18 games at the G and instead requesting to play some games in Canberra and Darwin. Unbelievable.

The MFC does and I want it.

Jack Watts - More Discussion (for those who haven't had enough)

Spoke to Flash at Jurrah's Book function and he told me his knee was stuffed. He said as he relied on his pace and evasive skills he would never be the same. That started his decline. This is the right move for Flash and he announces it in his way and that is good for him and the club. Hope he can stay around as a mentor and also as an assistant in coaching and recruiting. Congrats and well done on a great career, probably only curtailed by injury. One of our most popular players in his heyday. I am proud to say along with WJ, we were there at the start, having seen him play at Port Melbourne and pushing on Demonland, for us to take him. We were thrilled when the club did and loved watching him play, especially when he was at his peak. Enjoy your retirement Flash. Will get Life Membership, if he hasn't already.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
Redleg replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hacks like Robbo should be ashamed of themselves as they care more about mates and clubs they support, than the players and some of their families whose health is now at risk. Even Matthew Lloyd finally said on FC last night that he was horrified at the Mexican drug of another patient being given to players. The rest of the panel were disgusted also at what happened under Essendon's watch. Forget about the face saving exercises of famous people and think about how the players and their families are now feeling. No wonder the team is in free fall. This is the worst scandal in the history of the game. -
He had salty chicken.

You know that for a fact?
-
No it doesn't. It is just a truthful reflection of our position and what has been said so many times in the past. It is not knocking Glen, it is saying many have said similar before and most of us would simply like to see it carried out in preference to being spoken about. I hope he is a great leader for us and brings success, we will see.
-
I thought I was the only one who thought this. I found it rather flat, too self indulgent and way too long, Agree with your post. Actions speak louder than words and we have heard lots of talk the last several years.
-
We need about 5-6 more.
-
Agree.

Roos appeared to completely rule out the Lions job OTC tonight. Wasn't asked about us.
-
I agree we have no leadership. I also think we have no confidence in winning, or their fellow players. I think we raised an effort, got some bad umpiring decisions, saw Freo kick a few quick goals and then gave up. We need to get rid of players who are not good enough or committed and replace them with players who are.
-
I am not sure why some continually blame the players. We have players who are not good enough. That is not their fault. Some have no skill. They never will have. They need to be moved on and replaced. People need to stop expecting a side that is not good enough to win. It just doesn't happen. The list needs to be improved with hard, quick, talented players, then properly developed and coached properly. It is not impossible and big inroads can be made in one off season.

I remember CC telling me on draft night, at a club function, before the draft that we wouldn't take Talia, but instead would take Gysberts and then Tapscott. I recall WJ and me being stunned at the news. I actually remember nearly arguing with him, but because he was telling me what Prendergast was doing I was in no position, to argue, given my limited knowledge. If only I was the recruiting manager, I would have done better, only by using the info from Demonland and nothing else. At worst we would have Talia in our defence today and probably another midfielder instead of Gysberts or Tapscott. That is how bad Prendergast was. It also didn't help, that when I met him a couple of times, I found him to be an arrogant, rude, pr1ck.

It was just so much worse with Cook. After no games in 2 years we delist him. Not one club even rookied him. That is how bad his selection was.

Brilliant and funny. -
Don't get me started on our recruiting, as most on here know my absolute disdain and disgust for the performance of Prendergast. IMO he is the single most damaging appointment, made in this club's recent history and I include MN. IMO Prendergast was a total failure. We can all reel off the names. I just can't see a bigger failure than Cook at 12 in recent draft history. So many other good picks were wasted by him. If he had only selected 3 mids, now playing good football at other clubs, instead of some of his picks, I would not be so harsh. He must have had about 24-30 picks and has only a few players of any worth among them. That said, we know a lot of our players aren't up to it and the only way to get better, is to move them on and replace them. Also to get a good coaching panel and a good player development program.

He doesn't play there anymore. He plays up the ground as a sub. -
