  1. Is it?
  2. It is interesting that posters are saying they have contacts who are telling them MCartin and Lever for 3. One or both of these groups will be wrong. Is it possible the club is sending out some contradictory signals? If so I wouldn't know why.
  3. Well I would be prettty confident if Mccartin is there at 4 he goes to GWS. Boyd gone, Patton out for 2015 and Cameron may be carrying a bad ankle. They could even go the double and take Wright as well.
  4. Phantom draft in Sun today has a little twist on each pick, they have selected. On Brayshaw it just says, "no twist, just pick him". Pick 3 they select McCartin and say Lever is the danger, but then they select Lever at 10 to Cats. Therefore if we don't take him, they are suggesting he will slip to 10.
  5. Thanks LDP glad to know the info is of use.
  6. If Garlett, Lamumba, Frost and Newton become regulars, coupled with Tyson, Vince and Cross last year, that is 1/3 of the side turned over in 12 months. Also half the list has gone in the same period, when you add the draftees and a few other trades. That is one hell of a list change and there will be more to come next year.
  7. Can name most of them, but more importantly, great to see them supporting Neale. Wish him all the best.
  8. Not sure if anyone has mentioned Max King. Thought I saw him for a second on the news and he looked to have developed physically quite a bit. He is about 200cms and looked to have put on a fair bit of muscle.
  9. Sensible and well thought out post. Also sensitive to Jordie's position in the club and more importantly in the best 22. This is a win win, as it allows us to take another new player, but also optimises Jordie's chance of an extended AFL career. Realistically you could argue that this could be Jordie's last AFL year, unless something happens and you have suggested something that could prolong his career a few seasons. BTW I have met Jordie quite a few times, but clearly less than you BB and have found him to be a fantastic bloke. I only wish he had brilliant disposal skills, because he has enough of the rest. I wish him all the best and hope that this is not his last AFL year and that he goes out in disapppointing fashion. I still think we will come to an accomodation with Evans and JT, giving us picks 40 and 53 , though I am less certain in JT's case. They may be happy to use the LTI and another rookie pick in his case.

You would hope we do due diligence on this if we are considering McCartin. I am sure we would have.
  11. 19 you should like this day Biff.
  12. Why did we clear Brock and Col?
  13. Unfortunately Dawes is at best a 3rd key forward. He is that poor at marking that he could never be considered higher. As a 3rd tall forward and therefore often one out, he stands his best chance of multiple scores. With Howe/Watts as 4th tall forwards coupled with Garlett/JKH/Kent crumbing we would be far more potent than in recent years. Therefore if McCartin is as good as touted if available I would take him, as with Hogan we build the foundation of a good forward line. If of course he is not seen as that good, well......................
  14. Any of you delinquents interested in a night at Wongs in Elsternwick, for chinese food, reasonably priced, on the 2nd of December 2014, to discuss our drafting trading and coming season? Old Dee and myself will be there, with hopefully WJ and Belzebub.
  15. That looks good. Must admit I have never had an Almond and Banana smoothie. Do I have to travel to perth to have one?
  16. Had a banana smoothie today and it was great.
  17. Agree we have no forward line yet and a good midfield with no forward line will still see scores of 3-4 goals.
  18. 20 nearly down to one round of the draft.
  19. If we are to use pick 40, we have 6 days to get it done.
  20. Have we just lost Demon Frog? That is unacceptable.
  21. I am thinking now that in light of Roos' comments about developing our draft picks and not expecting them to be our saviours, that he will take 2 mids and let them develop. I think he might now target a KPF as a FA or trade next year. Then again I could be wrong.
