In the Age a report on Robinson's assertion Hird spoke to a New York Doctor about a cream, Hird denied talking to a Doctor. It has now been leaked that Hird has admitted to ASADA he spoke to a New York Pharmacist about a cream. Seems like Robinson mixed up a Doctor with a Pharmacist, but he was right on the money about Hird asking him to investigate a cream. Hird is looking very ordinary in this affair.

I think that all the contributors to this thread that live in Melbourne should get together at the end of the year for a drink to drown our sorrows and to meet each other. I suggest around mid to late November so we can also discuss the drafting and trading that has been done. By then all will be finished except the PSD and Rookie draft. We could arrange banana daiquiris or banana smoothies and banana cake, banana bread, banana chips and other banana delicacies. What do you all think?

When I think about 4 AFL memberships and 2 MCC memberships this year that were totally wasted money, I think of how many banana foods and drinks that would have got me. Have received absolutely no value whatsoever from those memberships.

That's not quite right. While as usual we turned it over, they worked hard to get the ball and then ran away from us. Their pace and skill killed us. That comes from having a bunch of talented kids who are prepared to work hard. There is not the slightest doubt that GC and GWS have been given the opportunity to dominate in a few years. Unfortunately for us, they came in when we were down and combined with atrocious drafting and development, we are now in our current position.
