Saw a few games he played and went through his highlights on you tube. He is young 20, big and strong 199cm and 96 kgs. Clearly has done the gym work looking at his guns. Has a good straight kick. Knows how to lead and does. Reasonable hands in the marking contest. Was a number 2 draft pick only 2 years ago. Has his best footy in front of him. Could also in time do a bit of ruck work as relieving 2nd ruck. He will be cheap as that mooted trade shows. Downside is some emotional issues that hopefully can be overcome now that he is back in Victoria and with some assistance. If Hogan leaves or tMac as a FA or Weid fails to come on, he would be there. Pedo will be gone in a year as well. I just see a good opportunity here.

Pity if true that we couldn't get Schache. If Cats get high compo for Motlop say 21, they will offer it to us for Watts and keep 20.

Don't confuse our desire for Lever with that for Balic. Balic will get done for a later pick and it is probably already agreed. Might just be some posturing for the Dockers fans.

Just watched his highlights on You Tube at the Lions and he is a big unit. Strong and tall and leads well, with an accurate kick. Interesting comment from one Jonathan Brown " this kid is going to be star". He has obviously had an emotional episode or period in his young life, but these can be helped. I would try and get him. Could be a huge reward for little cost.

If true there could be many reasons for emotion. I don't think it means he couldn't be a good player. We actually want our players to play with emotion, but yes I know, not cry. I believe Plugger cried a bit when the pig was released on the ground and then he smashed a Swan players jaw and I think kicked 8. All the clubs obviously know of this situation with Josh and maybe he was just letting it out, but clearly it has put most clubs off him and dropped his price considerably. For a cheap price I would take him. If he fails he fails. It's not like every selection in the draft we have taken succeeds. However if he were to succeed it would be a brilliant get.

Because he is 20, 199cms, 96 kgs and was a number 2 draft pick who clearly has talent. Now playing in his home state with good support he has the chance to be a very good footballer. I would love it if that was with us.

To me it looks like Jack would prefer the Cats, but they are playing a game saying they can't get the deal done. We have obviously asked for their 20 and they have refused. Port has made him an offer and we would accept their 29. If Jack says Port the deal will be done instantly. I think the Cats have told him to hold on, to see if they can bluff us, or find out the Motlop compo. If we hold firm I think we either get 20 from the Cats or 29 from Port.

This deal could be done pretty quickly, unless we are looking at combining it with another player, theirs or ours.

We are being rebuilt very well, in order to be a flag contender and adding Lever today was another vital cog. It continues.
