Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Interesting thing would be to go through their side and see where Lever is rated. I doubt he would be rated in their top 10. As an example start with the Crouch's, Sloane, Tex, Sauce, Eddie, Laird, Cameron, Talia, Smith,McGovern and there is 11 already. PS. No wonder they are in the GF.

You are allowed to admit you are wrong at least once, it is not too difficult. Stop changing the goalposts by bringing in new criteria. You made a statement, so stand by it. You also don't need to try and belittle my footy knowledge, inferring I know nothing about the game, it doesn't help your position or win an argument.

Look at what you said. "If hes that bloody good why is he getting away ? Homesick..really !! So the guys mentally brittle ??? Yeah...lets add another one ffs" Both are using the homesick reason and both are getting away. So therefore Lever is mentally brittle. You never said anything about how many games they played, you just called him out because of "getting away, being homesick and therefore being mentally brittle".

Very different. Bernie is a better player and more versatile than Garland and has 2 good knees.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
What will make him a better star is to have a couple of quick mids running past for his handballs.

Maybe just maybe Jack Watts has been ruined by this club with its poor standards and constant changes and now that we are getting it together he just needs to refocus. One thing we know for sure and that is that he has better skills than most of his team mates and is the best set shot for goal on our list. He also has the ability to set up play and deliver the ball accurately to team mates. Perhaps instead of throwing him out with the rubbish, we try and get him to fit into our plans and get the best out of him. This is the same bloke who was composed enough to kick the winning goal on the run against the Pies, on QB and then run down the other end, to grab a mark and save the game. He is also the same bloke who was thrown into the ruck and ran himself into the ground for us earlier this year. He has talent, lets try and get it used for our benefit.

Freo must think a lot of him, he is not even listed on their site as a player at the club.

Not so worried about what Port will say but rather what the Crows will.

Sydney's entire back 6 came through the Rookie list and that comes after the picks in the 60's, just as an example of what you can miss. I would rather give a young kid a chance, than hang on too long to a player who is not best 22, coming off a knee reco and who will likely be gone at the end of the season. Anyway it is not my decision.

Agree on that.

No worries, no one on a contract to be retired or traded anymore. They serve their contract in full on our list. The list is stuffed.

Yes retirement.

I am honouring the contract and paying him, just not playing him.

Hang on, he got a 3 year deal he was happy with, he has played 6 games in the first year of that contract and got paid in full, then no games this year as injured and gets paid in full and can still get paid this year whether he plays or not. Then again we could make him do all the work and not play him once, watching him go out as a has been. Unfair, no not at all, actually very fair and even generous for what we have got back. PS. We don't owe anybody a game.

Yes you do if the parties agree and if not, you are not putting in as much either with less pressure on lifestyle. All AFL careers end sometime and to get to 30 is pretty good in the AFL.

Not delisted but retiring and receiving his full pay. Colin played 6 games in 16 and obviously none this year due to injury and will be 30 at the start of the next season, coming off a knee reco. If the club is of the opinion that even fully fit he is not in our best 22, then retiring and maybe playing a year or two at Casey, combined with coaching, is not unconscionable at all. It is actually helping him with a future career path.

I doubt that Salem is up for trade, or rather being pushed for trade.
