  1. Was feeling quite confident about the Cats game until we lost Viney and Hibberd.
  2. Would usually be concerned about a product made by a company called Nippys, but in the interest of research will try it.
  3. Taking players from other clubs who were possibly high draft picks or not, but who didn’t produce their best at the club who drafted them, has been successful many times. Often more so than drafting. A couple of reasons for this could be that you have seen them against senior players and you might know of a reason why they haven’t performed to their ability, like injury or homesickness for example.
  4. Hibberd gives up bananas and gets injured. Will they never learn?

Yep, match means match. You offer exactly the same or better.

Ok. So the question now is if he is in negotiations with them. If not, IMO he is gone. If it is big money offered by the Eagles and for 6 years and he is not even negotiating, then he clearly wants out. If he was staying, you would think he would be locked away by now, given the Eagles offer was more than 3 weeks ago or you would hear that they are close to a deal.

I think a few people are being spooked by Pert, because PJ has been so good and a few people are hearing gossip about some problems at Collingwood, which if true you would hope he has learned from. He was there for 11 years and oversaw their transformation, along with Eddie, to a powerhouse club. Hopefully he does a great job for us. If he is no good he can be moved on.

The interesting thing with Gaff would be whether the Eagles have made him an offer. If they have and he is just ignoring it, I think he is gone.If his Manager is negotiating with the Eagles then I think he will stay. If the Eagles haven't made him an offer, then they either realize he is going, or are just stupid. If you want to keep a player, you make them an offer and start negotiating. A failure to do so is a negative sign to the player. On the same note, I hope we are in negotiations with Gus and Oscar.
  9. Thanks.
  10. 4.35 pm on a saturday. A strange time for us to be playing.

This going to the team you followed is not a trend in the AFL, just ask Juddy, Buddy and Prestia.
  12. A few weeks ago Roos said he would become a star.
  13. Better weekend this week lads!
  14. Redleg replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
Saw an article that said according to the author, he was staying or coming to the Dees.

If the AFL website article is correct, he is either staying or coming to us. Other clubs seem to be out of the picture.
  16. Didn't put his body behind the ball a couple of times and hacked at it, but agree he was good and was clearly the backline general.
  17. Two wins for the Dees yesterday, in two different states.
  18. Yes the cake is banana cake.
  19. Big game on this weekend, Casey v Roos.
  20. Portable goal posts at one end for a while would solve it. I have two sets in my garage.
  21. I am with you. There is more to it than player blame.
  22. Must be out of them, as the banana never lets you down.
  23. Well is another season about to completely unravel?
  24. With Hunt and Jeffy playing good footy, we are a far more formidable team. ATM we are probably the slowest team in the AFL.
