  1. Don't like the purple warrior?
  2. Interesting that the previously Dees hating Barrett, says we did the right thing in the Lever deal. Basically says that we are a professional club in trading.
  3. A couple of pick 53's have been handy for us as well.
  4. Could be difficult without a ticket.
  5. From an Age Article by Caro. The Brisbane view was that Richmond wooed Schache and in doing so contributed to his poor form and reduced commitment. This version also dictates that former Lions coach Justin Leppitsch stayed in touch with the player once he rejoined the Tigers as an assistant coach. Further there was an allegation that Richmond subsequently lowered Schache's trade stocks by passing on stories alluding to his fragility involving a first-hand experience after the Tigers interviewed him. Richmond, in turn, angrily deny all of the above. The Tigers claim that while they interviewed Schache they lost serious interest in the player as an immediate prospect once he re-signed with the Lions. When Schache was offered around again, say the Tigers, their situation had changed. Nor were they prepared to consider the estimated minimum price tag, which, in a best-case scenario, would involve something with a three in front of it. Richmond say Brisbane have only themselves to blame. That the club failed to adequately care for Schache's welfare in his first season and did not put enough thought into his living circumstances. Even the Lions would privately admit Schache was physically exhausted at the end of 2016 and he should have been managed more conservatively in a playing sense. Still back in year one he showed signs of being the dominant forward his No.2 draft placing suggested he would become. This Article suggests misinformation from the Tigers has put other clubs off. Jonathan Brown sees a big future in the kid. Caro suggests that he could be traded for a pick in the 30's. To me that is a cheap gamble. I would take it and if it doesn't work move on. We are losing Watts and Pedo will be gone a year later. Weid might not make it and Jesse might leave in a year or two. He would be great insurance and could turn into a top 22 player anyway. It will be fascinating to see how this plays out and how he ends up in a few years.
  6. And I win tattslotto tomorrow. Ain't gonna happen.
  7. They practice speaking with little confidence in their voice.
  8. You only do that when you get a better pick. If we do that and get a poor pick we have caved.
  9. Lever is a very good kick.
  10. What has Jack's decision got to do with Stringer's situation? They are completely different. Dogs wanted pick 11 and Bombers traded it. Port has picks we would accept. I don't like the paying part of his salary bit. If it is Port they have got the money to pay Rockliff and Motlop. I would say to any suitor, you want him, you pay his salary or he stays a Demon. I wonder if his manager or the Cats are involved in this delay. There is no way he hasn't decided who he wants to play with, other than us. He has had a few weeks to decide. I smell a rat.
  11. Pick 46 apparently gone for Balic. Maybe our next pick and Watts for 30 and 33. Not bad considering we wanted 20 from Cats.
  12. Quite funny. Bloke has played a couple of games a year for 5 years and article says Swans will need to be adequately compensated.
  13. Apologies and thanks. I stand corrected.
  14. In the words of John McEnroe, "are you serious?"
  15. Agree. If we don't get value, he stays. It might mean we miss out on someone we are after and maybe the Cats are also and they are trying to block us, who knows. I would push for Port and try and do a deal with them and tell Jack he is theirs, if he is happy with that.
  16. It appears to be out of Port and Geelong.
  17. Read my post two above yours.
  18. That is not correct. Port are after him and if the Cats can't do a deal, he will go to Port.
  19. They won't take just anything. Bear in mind Jack is on about $1m over the next two years. That will also be freed up if he goes.
  20. He won't be with us.
  21. Actually he doesn't, unless you mean off the field.
  22. They might give you two of those but not all three. I think we would take two clearly, but it now depends on Jack nominating them. The fact that he hasn't, makes me think he prefers the Cats.
  23. I get the feeling Jack prefers the Cats and they have told him to hang out and that is why he hasn't named his club. This could then back us into a corner, if they can't do a fair deal and they spring it late in trade week. I suppose the fall back position is he stays but clearly now both parties want to end the relationship. Our boys need to be smart here. I have confidence in them.
  24. Are you looking for an argument?
