He is actually giving Eddie an out as to why he has had a poor year so far and for the members not to blame him if he leaves. The story has been around before about disgruntled players, now we know Eddie is one of them.

I find that hard to believe.

Or they want him in against us and this is the wake up call, to play well in the SANFL this week and earn a recall. Most clubs try and play former players against their old club, because of the added motivation.

One worry is that we seem to get beaten most times on the big stage, when we really have something to play for.

Needed to change the set up on ball ups. Max should be trying to belt it forward to set up an even contest, instead little tap down and they clear and spread. No pace. Crap disposal.

Pressure. They are applying heaps.

Would help if we could kick it to them and not up in the air.

When I was Team Manager of the MFC in 79, I was warned about the Vic Park Visitors' race and the cretons who threw cups of urine and spat on visiting teams and officials. Heeding that advice, I ran up and down the race as I entered and left the ground and never stood in, or near the race, thereby denying them an easy target. Disgusting really.

I usually agree with you and again we share the same thoughts. He has to be behind Hunt and for that matter Tyson, Bugg and probably Billy and JKH and they are all not certainties to be with us next year.

Maybe he could order that we win the flag under threat of trade sanctions. For that matter a three peat.

Maybe he is hoping they won’t be that upset if he leaves after a poor year, combined with a good AFL engineered compensation package. If GC matches any offer, he has to be traded or go to the draft. That could force a super deal for GC, where they get multiple players and good picks. GC could win out of this if they are smart. It of course remains to be seen if they can.

Hard to argue that List management/Recruiting isn’t the most important part of an AFL club.
