2018 AFL Hall of Fame
Yes. WJ and I managed the Dominator and tried to get him to the Dees. He had already been rejected by Carlton twice and was a Prahran player. WJ thought he could make it and I went and spoke to him and we became his managers, long before Football Management took off. It is a long story but to make it short, the Blues wanted Tom Flower for Wayne and of course the Dees said no. Through some luck he fell into a senior practice match, filling in for an injured player and kicked a few goals quickly on Jezza, the Blues Captain Coach. That was it and he later became a champion .

Stats-file 2018
Would be happy to see us take the record this week with 23 winning quarters.

2018 Contracts and List Details
I agree they will stay, as they have worked too hard to get the chance of success to just leave. They seem to be a very united and committed group atm and if given reasonable coin and duration it should be a formality, even if there are slightly better offers out there. Gus should join them in recommitting at some stage of the season. I think this group of players are very happy together and that is always a factor in extending contracts.

Changes vs Bulldogs
As the eternal pessimist I am worried about our 6 day break after the Alice, compared to the Dogs 8 days after a Melbourne game. Interesting to see if changes are made for this game to bring in fresh legs. On disclosed selections so far this year, maybe not. Nine days then to the Pies, which is good, with the bye to follow.. It would be great on a side note, to win all 4 quarters against the Dogs and take the AFL record of 22 quarters in a row won.

Why do you say the Mc's are all but signed? Have you heard something other than what we have all heard, that they are in contract talks?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TIM SMITH
Very happy for a nice guy who has never given up on his AFL dream. Played his best game for us of the 4 so far and showed he can contribute. A couple of goals, some big marks, some goal assists and better rucking than Jenkins, who is much bigger than Bull.

Nathan Jones' 250th.
Despite the recent form of both sides, with us having the 6 day break off the Alice Springs game and the Dogs having an 8 day break playing their last game in Melbourne, we will have to be at our best to run it out. I wonder if they will look at fresh legs. After this game we have 9 days to the Pies.

Looks about 5-6 cms smaller than his dad, so at 17 may still grow. Could get to Max's size.

Tom McDonald Contract Talks
What makes you reckon that figure?

Changes vs Adelaide
Agree. Is Lever the only bloke to change clubs? According to the media and maybe the Crows he obviously is. Jenkins, Gibbs, Seedsman, Jacobs, Betts, Gibson, Lynch, Cheney and the recently retired Scott Thompson say hello. Bloody hypocrites.
