No, JT said he is a long term project and I am certain you will see him get at least next year to develop. He is a year behind Jeffo in the system, but he may not be that far behind him physically, as he looks a big lump of a kid. Will just need AFL conditioning and playing in our game plan. I like the selection on type.

I find it hard to accept that Goody and the FD know more about the players on the list than I do.

It would be miraculous if he played this year, as he most likely does not have AFL level fitness, or any knowledge of our game plan.

At Casey, Schache can play key back. Would think Fullarton could too.
-
I would imagine they have told Kozzie to not go for those near impossible marks, but he is just an instinct player, see ball get ball and they probably don’t want to curb that.

Great article by Langdon, who praises Goody and the Club Culture, for putting players’ welfare first, as evidenced by him being allowed to miss the Eagles game to attend his sister’s wedding in London. He said the club was a great place to be and play football with as they really cared about their players. That is a fantastic advertisement for any player thinking of moving clubs.

Alice Springs would be good for a debut as sub for AMW.

Actually he is the next Jeffo.

30000 posts is just a good start.

I am not a Hunter fan, but he was ok today. McAdam was poor again.

Luke Darcy said he would be in that conversation and with Dean Cox, the best two ruckmen of the recent generation.

You are correct, there is nearly no too far on this thread.

Of course the club with the most frees by far, gets a quiet patch in a game and the Coach is complaining about umpiring. Blues just must have every free.

Think DL could turn really feral if we lose to the Saints:

Sunday footy show - Who is the greatest Demon of all time?

With my eyes Robbie. From my ears hearing RDB. -
Me too.

Wonderful! Suppose Petty goes back, JVR comes in, BBB out and we try Fullarton or Verrall forward and ruck chop out.
-
Or we just played a poor game where our effort was down .
-
He is a better player than Billings for starters.
-
Petty won’t be dropped and may be needed down back. I thought he did ok in the ruck, actually hitting the ball to our mids, which I didn’t see Max doing.

Matt Jefferson.

It is easy to suggest solutions, such as go and get every good player possible that we need, but of course that is not realistic. Obviously our list guys know our deficiencies and are doing their best to remedy them. I don’t think however there is a rule that says no fans stating the facts about our situation, which can imply criticism, unless a solution is also provided.
-
I could give you my thoughts, but I am neither one of the knowledgeable list managers, nor one of the well paid officials tasked with the management of our list. I don’t say that as a criticism of them, but that they are in the position to fix the problem, not me, I just quoted a disappointing statistic, which possibly can’t be fixed within this season. Short term we need to fix our entries to F50, our goal kicking accuracy and our forward positioning for entries, to allow for more scoring. Our forward pressure also must lift. Long term we need to find a top key forward and hope that Jeffo can also make it. PS: interestingly and mid season draftee for the Eagles also outscored both our key forwards combined and had more possies than both of them combined. Maybe there is another out there.

2 Key Forwards of each side: Eagles 8.1 & 30 possies. Dees: 1.2 & 8 possies.
