I think most people have compassion and empathy for Jesse and his situation, but obviously footballers are news as we all know and their lives and situations are media fodder. A story like him not playing again is big news and that is the business journos are in, so we don’t need to shoot the messenger, whether he is right or wrong, he is doing his job. I am sure he has heard something, as he wouldn’t just make up something that is totally wrong, as he would look a fool. If Jesse retired, after a few days of headlines you wouldn’t hear his name mentioned again.
