I thought he was telling Her Majesty where he gets his hair done.
  2. I think most people have compassion and empathy for Jesse and his situation, but obviously footballers are news as we all know and their lives and situations are media fodder. A story like him not playing again is big news and that is the business journos are in, so we don’t need to shoot the messenger, whether he is right or wrong, he is doing his job. I am sure he has heard something, as he wouldn’t just make up something that is totally wrong, as he would look a fool. Even Robbo in his article, said he may never play for Freo again, actually repeating the original piece, but then including a statement from Bell, who denied him leaving, but not that he might never play for them again. If Jesse retired, after a few days of headlines you wouldn’t hear his name mentioned again. Lastly, I personally feel very sorry for a kid who I thought could be the next Carey, with all he has and still is enduring. I hope he gets back to full health.
  3. I am not a player, club, AFL Official or Manager, but no, er yes, er maybe, er I am not telling.
  4. Irrespective of the Jessie situation, people need to understand that clubs lie, players lie, AFL officials lie and Managers lie. It is an art form in AFL football.

Why not, everything else seems to be stuffed this summer?

You negative Nellies think we never win anything. Well according to a thread on DL, Kane Cornes said we have won the Pre Season. So you guys, how do you like them bananas?
  7. Redleg replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Oh no, Kane Cornes is going to crucify us.
  8. Do you think you missed my point?
  9. To be honest I would happily accept less info and more wins.
  10. I think we top another, longest time since last flag for current year.

Not a Group race and now put off until saturday. He is favourite I think.

Vongole stepped in a pot hole last night at Pakenham and that cost him the win. Unlucky horse with poor rides and minor incidents.

For those interested in the sport of kings, I have Rogues Point racing in the Tasmanian Derby tomorrow night at 6.00 pm.
  14. First, let me wish Jesse well. Second, people need to understand that clubs do things that may seem wrong to people on the outside, because they generally have much more information than fans to base their decisions on. Third, constantly reverting to past decisions ( which I have also been guilty of, mainly to do with drafting) probably doesn’t assist in dealing with the present situation of a club.

Peter Brukner - MFC Club doctor from 1987 to 1990 Garry Peter Lyon 1986–1999 Melbourne 226 (426) Good chance he is.

What if Garry is good mates with Dr Peter Brukner and gets the medical diagnosis first hand?

Good story on Joffa moving to a remote village in FIJI to live, in yesterday's Sun.
  18. Absolute best thing for Harley will be when season starts and fans and media are not interested in him and he can just get on with it.
  19. He trained a balsa wood carport down.

I love revisionists who try and change history. Martin did a deal with Carlton and then refused to talk to us. We never had a chance of getting him. Bennell did not cost us Martin.

Has an exceptional ability to dispose of the ball quickly and therefore is the type of player who makes something from nothing. An accurate kick and a good mark are other assets. Agree with you DD that he does go missing for large periods of games and needs to stay involved. Obviously needs to get fit to be considered and that will be his big goal.

No, but rather I think we will have promised him this year to get right. If he is no better by the end of the season, I am pretty confident he won't be with us in 2021.
  23. Redleg replied to Romey's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
    Correct.
  24. Redleg replied to Romey's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
He will be added to the list come what may, it is obviously a done deal. They are clearly going to give him this year to get it right.

Not sure we will know "shortly", it might be a while.
