All the Carlton players in the light blue M and M jumper some years ago looked pretty rank.

I have just quickly scanned the AFL rules and I think he may possibly qualify as an over age NGA or Academy Player or former Academy Player or even by decision of the AFL General Counsel on discretionary grounds looking at all the circumstances. I guess we will know in the near future. Don't quote me on the above, as it was a mere quick scan of some of the Rules on Rookies.

That seems to go against what Ghostwriter was saying. If you are correct and he is only on the Casey list and he plays well, we can say goodbye to him, as he will go before our pick. There must be more to this if Richo is doing the paperwork and not the Casey footy admin.

That is good news. He was very impressive in the Casey game I saw, doing some pretty amazing things. Looks the type who could improve in an AFL system.

Especially since the AFL failed to act on it at the time and then outlawed the act later and secondly as it was the AFL who put Gus out of the game, on their direction.

I agree with most of the post except that I believe Maynard never intended to knock Gus out. I believe his intent was to make him earn it and wear one, but it went horribly wrong. I think it is just wrong to think that the intention was to knock Gus out and end his career. Believe me I am as angry as all of us at the circumstances and yes he should have got 6 weeks, but we know what the AFL is all about.

Just worked out who this boy reminds me of and it’s a young Roland Orzabal, the guitarist/vocalist of Tears for Fears. Hopefully Xavier and the Dees can rule the footy world.

The club we gave Grundy to. Hope they have a good FA we can take from them next year. They seemed shocked we didn’t match, didn’t see a single smile from their group.
