  1. No doubt Viney would have given some input into this. Seems like a good move.
  2. Last post from eth38 said that as at 2 December 2009 we were on 15609.
  3. Me too
  4. Does Carlton own PP and or it's facilities?
  5. Are we the only team that doesn't own our facilities? Do all the other clubs own them or do they lease them as well?
  6. Thanks, that's good to know, he is an exciting prospect. Going on his highlights he looks to be capable of some things at a very high standard. I love the way he attacks the ball in the air, reminds me of jumping Jack from the tigers. I wonder what his consistancy is like and the if there is a big gap between his best and worst. These things are hard to tell from just highlights...but i like that he has such a good beep test so he should have the motor to stay involved. If we can get him to do the right thing consistatly we might have a player here. And your right, Hughes body did let him down
  7. Tingles do yo know what his defensive game is like? Does he chase and apply pressure. His beep test would suggest he has the capacity to do so. For those that know, what does this guy have over Danny Hughes?
  8. It doesnt seem that any of the talls we got are really tall...so I am not sure if any of them can play that forward - part time ruck that will be handy with the new interchange rules...anyone know if they can ruck?
  9. Yeah I dont really know but my first thoughts are that we may have reached and picked some players early because we were going for type... But BP has been good so far so we will just have to back him in...
  10. Watts Cook(ing?) Howe (its) Dunn
  11. I assume it was more that he wanted to be picked on merit rather than pushed out because they wanted to give a youngster a game to develop them. I can understand that. I still think he was easy in the best 22, but I don't mind him going, we are moving in the right direction. It is disapointing thought that it happened as we get nothing for it.
  12. Just read an article in the age on each teams lists and it lists Hughes and Newton as elevated rookies in addition to Spencer and McKenzie. Then they don't have Meeson as a retiree. I think though they just listing all rookies that were elevated during the year. Either that or this article does not has all the facts right.
  13. Ox anyone??? To think of what he could have been...would have to be number 1 for me. Not withstanding the productive years he still managed following injury. To a lesser extent Lyon and my namesake Stinga...both missed some of their best years to injury. Both still great players but could have put their names a rung higher if not for injuries. Getting away from injury related let downs...D Bell comes to mind...looked set to become one of the best back pockets in the game at one stage then fell away very quickly. Armstrong was another for me. Looked very good early but never kicked on. If you were a Blues supporter you would say Andrew Walker. A number 2 pick, then after his first game I am sure they would have thought they had a legend of the game on their hands. Now they cant give him away.
  14. With the change in interchange rules, Bruce could turn out to be a useful sub player in his twilight years. Can play almost any position forward, back, middle... Just a thought.
  15. Rather than going into a bidding war with the Hawks for Hale, who I think could add something to our structue but I still see an element of risk and lack of ability to ally forward pressure, we should be chasing this guy who suits our age profile and much more of a sure thing. This guy would be the ideal forward/ruck and at his age could still improve. I just don't understand why we are not going hard here. It would take at least our pick 12, perhaps that is a no go zone for our club but a chance to add a player of his ability that is proven who could give upto 10 years is worth it. He may also be on a typical lion back ended deal but we would have the room. I really think he is the right player for us and although he has said he will be happy to stay, he has not categorically ruled out a move. That door is ajar and we should be trying to open it.
  16. Got run down by PJ a couple of years back. Hasn't really been able to kick on...is still very young though
  17. Would love to use him plus a pick to get Jacobs
  18. Doubt miller will get back this week...or again this year
  19. Both had better individual games last week, except Jacks last quater was very good this week. Not sure if there were any other eligable players putting their hands up like Hurley did last week. They can't be too far away surely...
  20. Jurrah saved himself form the chop with a good performance with Miller breathing down his neck. You would think Moloney would be ready this week and although there were some good performances in the VFL he would be the only one likely to push his way into the side. I just can't see anyone who I would come out for him. Jones is the only one with a target on his back, and would be stiff to miss.
  21. Except teams could do that out at skilled now and they don't.
  22. I say no to that!
  23. No pun intended?
  24. Right so consider only what supports your position. I got it. Have you noticed the improvement in our midfielders with Jamar up and going? How would our midfielders fair without him? Just as good? Feel free to debte who has the greater influence if you like and continue to miss the point all over again.
  25. Ohh I can barely lift my right arm because I did so many...
