Yep, I saw that too. But, that's old news? Col has never chased and Beamer continued to point, rather than lead by example.

POLL: Who Needs To Go? ... The Fans Decide
jumbo returns replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Penant St Dee, can you please come on and post your thoughts on this? I know you've mentioned a goal sneaking, quick left footer (whose name eludes me) but are there any more? Is the VFL a better standard than the WAFL? -

I'm surprised J Mac is in there and Dunn is getting better under Neeld. -
The Nathan Jones Appreciation thread.....

With Jack Viney in the team next year, I believe he'll rise to elite class. All the young incumbents must grab hold of his shirt tail in October and hang on! -
POLL: Who Needs To Go? ... The Fans Decide

Didn't Jack Watts say something along the lines of...I don't care whether we win or lose? Btw, West Coast are ripping the Lions a new one.....Darling is killing them (and the Number 2 pick...) -
Total Faith in the Neeld Way

Don't you hold back now, B59... -
Might have been said at the Scotts' Chrissy lunch.

thaipantsman, love the debate with you and I cannot agree with this. As Biffen said, someone needs to start a blue as this team is perceived as 'soft' - you are a supporter and have been to most games this year and watched us stride 10 feet tall when Mitch Clark was playing. Neeld will get more players of his ilk - one is on the way and his name is Jack Viney. I believe that Jones will step up even more in 2013 and become an elite midfielder. Throw in a couple of ready made ruthless lads and we're away. The back line is taking shape and the rest will follow. Btw, did you watch their bruising encounter against Essendon? I was there and I will now defend this team to the hilt against anyone who that says they play bruise free stuff. Keep your passion because we all do and always will.
-
thaipantsman, I don't see the correlation between eye contact during interviews and coaching. You're not a Neeld fan (fair enough) but many (including me) believe that the list is now more accountable. We had too many lazy footballers who loved their reflection and guns - now, they need to reach AFL level.

He did say it and Mike Sheahan finished off by saying that he believes Morton will not be there next year.
-
No - legit. 9 goal loss to a team that are supposedly the 'new' Geelong was a good effort. All I'm saying is that those that have embraced Neeld's expectations have stepped up and improved.

I went to game and (yell me down if you want), the players that were out there, have actually improved! The guys ran hard, spread better and defended quickly. The captains went well, and JT has picked up a yard. Jonesy (goes without saying) Sellar was good, Howe is a star in the making and Strauss was very good when he came on. Bail ran hard, Blease is a beauty, Mac and McD did a very good job - Chip's best game thus far. There is light - but I'm a realist....list deficiencies.
-
We had Stephen Powell....I remember one of his kicks went sideways...Classic.
-
I think both of you are right. Gys is brave, but his skills need improving. I see he can get the ball. Poor trainer.
-
I know, thaipantsman, I know...but I'm so damn angry at how all this unfolded. I healed a little bit when we thrashed them, I need time. Sorry for being so grumpy.
-
Wait until the end of the year...all talks on hold.
-
Agree - will be gone. 3rd round pick. At least Cuthbo kicked 7 in his first two games!!

Cloke and Collingwood - to part or not to part?

Greggy's struggled to be newsworthy all year - I hoped my sarcasm gushed forth, good doctor -

Oh, well - that's it then. Greggy has spoken. -
3rd or 4th rounder?

Cam Bruce? Jeff Farmer? Nathan Buckley? Jason Akermanis? Not 100% sure, but I think these guys protracted their talks right into October. -
Funny post - actually, we were just looking at buying one. Not now.
-
Another practice match without Mitch Clark - sorry for being so negative, but I can't wait for 2013.

Posters are bemoaning the plight of this club, yet many are baulking at this trade. Have a look at the Port game, no-one to kick a bloody goal. It's not just Cloke, it's about marketing, branding, hype, free press, culture, memberships and little kids wearing our magnificent colours again. Pick 3, 4, 12, Viney, Cloke, Clark, Howe, Jurrah, (hopefully) another year from Watts, Chip, Jones, The Jacks, Nicho, Gawn, (mebbe Cook?) and we're back on the back page! Get him, pay him!
