TBH, I loved going this year when big Mitch was strutting his stuff - he made other players stand tall, go harder and really perform. Now, I just go to watch practice matches. I'm sure the club is targetting - they'll need to be very active at trade time.

Yep - our ruck men are a problem too - not enough presence, power, strength or aggression. When Clark went in the ruck a couple of times this year (f#ck I miss him!) things happened. Blocking, thumping the ball, a clearance or two. Stef's not up to it and Jake's a shocker.

FT, without doubt, the worst team that's taken the field this year - just another practice match, Neeld giving a few borderline players a chance to turn it around. There's going to be some massive culling at the end of the year.

On the FS tonight, Damian Barrett said that Boak made it clear to his management that he would be speaking to only 2 clubs....Geelong and North Melbourne. Further, the belief is that he will stay with Port.

I know where you're coming from but to me, 45 hit outs doesn't equate to skill. The tallest man playing footy is Sandilands, yet, I reckon his tap outs get sharked by opposition players to the tune of 50/50. I don't have the stats, so I could be wrong. FWIW, I watched the Casey game after getting home from (depressing) Etihad and I hardly noticed Spencer.

I have never seen a slower player in the AFL than Spencer - even going back to the days of Mick Nolan and Percy Jones. Slow to react and has a very low skill level. I have no idea what the recruiters saw in him. Not up to it.

Maybe 2-3 years ago but now he's ho-hum.
