PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
If Dragon Boat is open Im happy, but it was totally empty last year and I thought it had turned its toes up. Its great for dinner. West lake is my favorite for Yum Cha at lunch as it is all hand made onsite yet not very expensive. But Dragon Boat (about the same pricing as WestLake) has a nicer dinner menu and IMV a better experience... but its not yumcha, although you can order a small range of entrees that feature on the Yumcha (lunch) menu.

PRACTICE MATCH: vs North Melbourne Streamed LIVE on Kayo
Well no I didnt. Maybe not last time we had a similar match, but similar practice matches in the past, there have been 3 not 4 quarters and another time it was mainly not our top 18 who played. Both these factors are at play for me to decide whether to make an hour journey there and back tomorrow on a work day. It may be easier for you Daisy, being in Bennettswood (Thats the part of Burwood I am from originally. Burwood it seems can be Wattle park or the Burvale)

PRACTICE MATCH: vs North Melbourne Streamed LIVE on Kayo
Anyone know the format? Will it be 4 quarters? Will we have large interchange benches? Will all the teams follow the same format or will it be agreed on the day by the participants? Any info appreciated.

Mick McGuane Rates The Forward Lines: Where Are We?
If I remember correctly: Mick said that individually we were near the best midfield, just under Dogs, but because we are now team oriented and look to handball out of stoppages, we have become the best Midfield.

I honestly cant remember a year since 2000 where there was so little Pre-season training news. Cold Turkey this year.

Why Luke Dunstan came to Melbourne
I know many unfortunate life events have challenged the Saints coach. Maybe Im wrong but I am surprised he still is the coach. The saints are showing immense faith in him. I cant rule out that my perspective is altered since our club has moved forward so much in the last few years.

Why Luke Dunstan came to Melbourne
I think too many posters are looking for bias and jumping at possible shadows in regard to any information regarding the club in the last day or so. Fair enough with the exaggerated cr@p from Herald-Sun about Goody and the inevitable search for informants. But sometimes one should expect the simplest explanation as most probable.

TRAINING: Friday 4th February 2022
We are supposed to be playing North Melbourne at a venue yet to be revealed. I believe it will be near the end of February. For some reason I think Ballarat was mentioned.

TRAINING: Friday 4th February 2022
I think if Majak makes it, and I hope he does, is as a forward and part time ruck. He doesnt have as good an instinct to be a backman but up forward as a pea he can straight line to a lead and pack mark/bring it down. His accuaracy has gotten better over the years. We also Have the propensity to have more injuries with talls up forward. If however a back is needed, Petty and Tom Mac can chop out again leaving space for Majak. Also he would have to be the best knock ruckman in the AFL without at least a part time gig. Im a big fan.

Part 5: Dees top 100 of the past 50 years – (the top 20)
Thank you great effort. I only realise in my 60's that my next favorite player Alan Johnson drew my attention way too much. He just seemed to open up the play with class so much in his career. Robbie and Johnno (and the bullring) kept me going from the late 70's through the 80's.

Top 100 Demons of past 50 years
I dont know if it is correct or not (probably not) but I was told that our brains trust asked Kelvin Templeton to hop on one leg to prove he had got over his dodgy knee. And he hopped on the other foot.

The Grand Final Rematch
How people can be so excited about watching the replay on the MCG screen and yet being a bit blah about finding we open the whole season with a GF replay which would be the talk of the town for 2 weeks beforehand, is puzzling. I think it it fantastic! please get it going. We will be flying the flag! Think how many we will get to training all February and March. Killer Diller!
