  1. Its not how much we need to stick with Weid, and the pressure on him is unfortunately enormous. There are 2 other important aspects. Goody gives each player not winning his spot at least 4 weeks. Time fades away. The other thing is; What is fair to Ben Brown who has a 4 year contract? I think that we need to give BBB 4 weeks and have Sam as Sub. Else we need to try Dogga (or Sam) on a wing. It was discussed for TMac so why not bring these 2 into the equation?
  2. Weid will have one more match and then Ben Brown will have 4 matches. I reckon they are both aware of how goody will treat them. Everyone gets 4 matches. Melksham may be a special case.
  3. Im winning big on the Demons. But Ive been punting on them since early '80s.... you work it out
  4. i think we are still in it if we can get our good players into the game. Clarry, Tmac and Salem
  5. We need Tmac to not crowd the square
  6. Put Clarry forward. harmes is playing ok. put him on Neal
  7. Im really happy you feel you can come to us demonlanders for support. That cheers my heart. My fervent condolences Demonox.
  8. One contest Im looking forward to is Angus vs Mitch. Angus is the new Vanders.
  9. I cant find the stat ATM, but the Lions mostly get away to to great start in the 1st qtr. This is what the Dogs relied on last week as we had been seen as catching up during the games and our fitness outlasting oppositions, but we jumped them instead in the 1st which stuffed their tactics. So we need to stick with Brisbane in what may be an unbelievably torrid 1st quarter tonight. McCluggage and Robinson are the 2 to stop in my opinion. They lift the others around them.
  10. Is there a more unfit player in the league than Nik Nat? Last qtr he couldnt jog.
  11. We are not flawless. We cover each others flaws, and we play the best team footy Ive seen all year. Back us in. Its absolutely torrid but because of loss of crowds It can not look that way. Im thinking it will get closer but then 10 minutes into the last we put the foot down.
  12. How good do we have to play to get the plaudits on here? Gives me the tom t1ts.
  13. I believe Ben Brown will always draw the oppositions best defender. Its my belief that Weiderman will draw the 2nd best behind TomMc (If no BB) or maybe 3rd best behind either of, Luke Jackson or Fritta depending on matchups. How other teams regard our firepower should resonate and give a clue in regard to giving Sam Weiderman chances to 'come good". How many good games is it fair to say he has had? I think 10 is generous. He has played nearly 50 games IIRC.
  14. I always watch Rory Sloane and unless he is still injured, James Harmes did a very good job on him last Saturday. Maybe for Macrae?
  15. Its decriminalized there
  16. For so long this was a very threatening away game. We still owe these booing numbskulls.
  17. I guess I just dont see what others do in the Weid and accept it must be me. OK. I cant believe we have not yet allowed BBB a bit of a paddock and told everyone to get out of the square as we brought in an expert. Thats my flawed view.. Instead we have the Weid who "looks" dangerous. I got it wrong with Kozzie thinking he wouldnt work so ok maybe the Weid is the key. I just hope we are not going to bomb the goal square which I see creeping in. Helps no-one.
  18. No change. Lets see how the forward line works this week. I bet it works it out ok.
  19. I expect Chandler to be given 3 or even 4 games. It seems consistent with Goodys changes. The only difference was when Mitch Brown came and went and Id say that Mitch was well aware of his backup position. Id also think that Majak would be under no illusions if he got gifted a game. Different for youngsters and seasoned veterans.
  20. 6. Oliver 5. Lever 4. McDonald 3. Neal-Bullen 2. Salem 1. Langdon
  21. It has been a standard that when picked in the ones you get 3-4 weeks in. Melk couldnt hold his spot but had 4 chances. Weid has now a few chances to show he can hold his spot. But the axe is kept sharp after 4 weeks.
  22. Did I read today that North won 11-0 in 2016? Played finals and went out in 1st week. There is a lesson there somewhere.
  23. From Michael Gleeson reporting in the Age "From the nine minute mark of the second quarter until the 18th minute mark of the last quarter the Bulldogs recorded 16 centre clearances in a row. The Blues did not once clear the ball from the centre through that long middle stage of the game." Pittonet does not have many fans although Cripps lack of agility is the main worry. Id back Daws and our mids against Blues for Center Square clearances.
  24. I would like to see Gawn rested this week against Carlton. Bring in Majak for this game.We dont have any other players pressing for a rest (maybe Fritta) and Carlton have no decent rucks anyway. We have in the past allowed Max to cop lots of knocks and bumps in many games and I was quite impressed with Majak in the VFL. Its a very good time to do it as it is a major change when we dont have to make other adjustments. Max looks like he could do with putting his feet up for an extra week.
