The youngest most inexperienced side
I posted this in April 2016. Last weekend we fielded the second youngest and inexperienced side in the comp. Average age 24.3 and 68 games. 17 of our starting 22 had played less than 100 games and more than 1/4 under 10. collingwood fielded a team with an average age of 27 and 120 games. These are the facts and a major reason why we are where we are.

PREGAME: Rd 10 vs GWS Giants
I think they are anticipating rain. Wouldn’t surprise me that Pruess is a late in if it becomes dry

Sack everyone (mega-thread)
There is a place for a manic style play but not 100% of the time. Richmond are able to control the pace

2020 starts now ?
It’s clear Goodwin has no idea what to do. The game plan from last year has been picked apart by the opposition and the players can’t implement what he wants. This manic hand pass game has to stop. Hawthorn won 3 premierships in a row by chipping the ball around by foot at the G. Why couldn’t we mimic their game style? We need to action what Collingwood and richmond did with their assistant coaches. Clear the decks and get new ideas into the club. Im still in shock that the season is over in April

Goodwin signs on until end of 2022
Totally agree. Goodwin needs new ideas. His game plan has been exposed. Essentially all the experience he has had is at a rabble at Essendon and under roos who was more about culture than game style. This year is a write off. All we can hope for is a richmond style clean out

Injury List - Season 2019
All acl injuries are 12 months. He won’t be back this year

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Massive risk that they will never get him. He might play at dees in 2019 and want to finish what he started. West coast might trump freo in 2019 with a higher offer. Freo would be crazy to leave those options on the table

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Fortunately a handful of residents don’t decide public policy. ‘A visual barrier’... give me a break. There a plenty of high rise building in the area and this would be inline with the character

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
Lucky you aren’t driving this with your defeatist attitude. MFC has plenty of clout at both local and state governments. You could easily spin this as an improvement to the area and a benefit for the community

The youngest most inexperienced side
Incorrect... premiership sides all have very similar games and age makeup. Against tigers: 80 games, 24.5 age, 10 players under 50 and 3 over 150. premiership sides: Tigers 2017: 104 games, 25 age, 4 under 50, 8 over 150 crows R/U: 109 games, 26 years, 1 under 50, 7 over 150 The recipe to success is average over 100 games, 26 years, 3/4 of the team over 100 games. we had 6 players on the weekend over 100 games. Almost 10 short of what we need.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Supporters have an expectation that the club is ruthless on and off the field. Mediocracy hasn’t got us far for the last 60 years

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
And pick up a player that doesn’t want to join your club and on top of that suddenly come up with $800k on a maxed out salary cap. No chance

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
There is talk that Melbourne are considering giving up 1st pick for 2017 and 2018. If we agree to Adelaide’s demands then it shows that our recruiting department have no idea. Grow some balls, stick by your original plan and make Adelaide sweat that lever will walk away for nothing. As it stands at the moment lever isn’t even in your top ten best players... only a top 10 player in the whole league is worth 2 first picks
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Adelaide are in no position to negotiate. Either take what Melbourne gives you or the kid walks into the draft and Melbourne get him for free. Trelor was worth 2 first rounders. Lever is no where near trelor. Giving Crows 1st and 2nd round picks imo is still overs.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I'm glad you aren't negotiating for the dees. wont take more than pick 10 and swap of 2nd round picks
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pick 10 will do the deal for lever. No way will Melbourne give up watts or Salem as well.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pick 10 for lever is plenty. At worst pick 10 and swap of 2nd round picks will suffice. No way will dees throw in either watts and Salem + pick 10
