  1. Caitlyn Jenner's got it easy thanks to this trail blazer. He took it on the chin. Beautiful singing voice too.
  2. So around 2,300 ahead of same time last year. We only needed just under an extra 5000 to crack 40,000. At this rate it should happen. 22-12-15 26,217 18-12-14 23,572 27-12-13 23,542 Like this
  3. PJ mentioned at the AGM that membership revenue went up $500k this year. It would be very interesting to know how this happened as there was a very minor increase in the total no. of memberships from last year. There must have been more higher value memberships than the year before. So if that is correct and it continues this year the opposite might happen to your prediction.
  4. As I've said several times before. The AFL sanctions were for governance failures and very specifically not for drug cheating. If they are found guilty what are the AFL going to do. Do nothing and they let off a Club for the greatest systematic drug cheating program in AFL if not Australian sporting history. Can't wait to see how Gil spins this one. Of course they have to be found guilty for this to be an issue.
  5. Really great picks. Thanks a mill. Jeez CP5 is a big unit. Going to be hard to knock him off his feet. Weideman looks a very balanced athlete. Even the way he's holding the footy in that photo is very balanced. Interesting that he looks quite skinny but is recorded as 94kg's. I'm guessing he's not going to have a problem filling out towards the 100+ kg's in the next couple of years. Big frame. Already about 6 more than our poor old whipping boy, Wattsie. Who looks like he has a bit of a gut from that photo. Far from a cut professional footballer. Maybe he's on a binge eating program to try to bulk up. Finding it hard to get over how much Oliver looks like McKenzie. No idea what they move like on a field but he looks nuggety. Kennedy looks like a very solid unit.
  6. I beg to differ LDvC. I think he should have stayed around so if they go down he could deal with it. He's already tainted anyway. Whereas Tanner is coming in as a new face. If he has to be the face of the Club and be in the Press everywhere dealing with a guilty decision, he will be tarnished with it just like Little. Why not stay until the final decision was handed down in a few weeks.
  7. Know what you mean. Also agree anxiety levels would be even higher if he isn't mentioned. But that 200kg's photo is encouraging. They're certainly testing out that reco.
  8. I would have thought the point I was making was bleeding obvious. If you reread your own paragraph in your post I responded to, I think you'll find most people would think that when you start by saying you don't rate him as highly as others and finish by referring to him as a solid accumulator, that you do not rate solid accumulators. I'm glad you've clarified your view of solid accumulators. In any event I totally disagree with your recollection of his first two years. Many in the industry compared him to Bartel not just me. He is a similar build has an outstanding contested overhead mark but was also at stages a game breaker like Bartel. We all loved Brayshaw's first season, as far as I'm concerned Trengove's was very similar. He certainly showed himself to be a better pick up than our first pick that year.
  9. What are you talking about. That is him positively beaming. Never seen him that happy. He's never leaving. Source, my Grandmother. She loved him trying to escape that nasty Colonel Klink.
  10. Yeh those solid accumulators suck. You never see them do anything and then at the end of the game they have 30+ possessions. Duds like Bartell who he reminds me the most of, or that other dud Sam Mitchell. Nothing worse than a silent accumulator. Unless of course they happen to play for you.
  11. No such thing. I would care about getting Prestia no matter what midfield you were talking about.
  12. I can't help but wonder if there were any discussions with GC during this year's trading of picks about setting up potential deals for Prestia next year. They already have our first pick in next year's draft.
  13. Does anyone know what Brayshaw's problem is. He's been in rehab since start of pre season. Clearly has a problem. Did he have any off season surgery or is it something else. Hope its not the dreaded osteo that someone suggested.
  14. We should start a Poll on how many pages this thread will be by the end of trade week 2016. Im guessing 120.
  15. Ottens is a good call. And of course resulted in us getting Maloney. Say no more.
  16. Missing the point. He didn't go to another VFL Club. He left the entire Comp for a season or two. For reasons that have been speculated on ever since.
  17. Life Member from a couple of years ago. Great contribution especially for an interstater. Just did another $50. Now $816. Thanks for for all your work keeping the site going.
  18. Nothing like a bit of handy perspective to cheer a young bloke up. And a Dad.
  19. Bing got a question about Provisional Suspensions. The players took them last pre season and missed a couple of NAB games. This would have been counted towards a guilty finding. They were still, bizarrely allowed to do full pre season training with the Club. Do you know if those provisional suspensions would be counted at all if they are found guilty in this new CAS hearing. Similarly can they notify they are taking provisional suspensions again since the end of the season which would also count towards any penalty if they are found guilty.
  20. Poor kid. That's a massive recovery at this age. Nasty injury. At least he'll be set for next season. My son had a minor tear a few years ago when someone fell right on his knee cap after a marking contest. But he didn't need surgery and was only out for a few weeks. Seems all good a few years on. Obviously a much better injury than an ACL. Thanks for passing on Gold Coast dates. We'll be well gone by then. I'm surprised they are going up that far into pre season. I guess they'll be doing a lot of game simulation by then in the heat.
  21. I'm not sure you're right about that BB. They chose to take a provisional prior to the last hearing. I believe they can take a provisional prior to this decision. I don't know that definitively but it makes sense. They were able to train last year with their team while taking a provisional suspension. It only stopped them taking part in competitive games. Ie last year's NAB Cup.
  22. He started it. I'm just trying to speak his language to help him out.
  23. To quote Sue... "3. how the club evaluated the possibility of losing Milkshake vs the benefits of getting him long term." I assume he's taken a provisional suspension again this summer on top of the one they all took last summer. That would add up to nearly 12 mths provisional suspension by the beginning of next season. If he gets the max 2 years. It means he misses a year. Bing 181 might be able to confirm whether those provisional suspensions will apply here or whether the clock only starts ticking once CAS hands down its decision. If its the former it might be worth the punt to miss a year at worst versus the benefit of getting him long term. If it's the latter and he's out for 2 years. It won't have been worth the gamble no matter how much they think he's worth.
  24. Did you find out anything from the Club HT. I'm going to be on the Gold Coast second week of Jan. I understand they're going up there for a training camp. Might drop over if they are close enough. By the way, how's your son's knee going?
