  1. BigFooty are running their Phantom Draft at the moment, top 10 is: 1 - GC Rowell, 2 - GC Anderson, 3 - MEL Young, 4 - GWS Green (matched bid), 5 - ADE Flanders, 6 - SYD Jackson, 7 - FRE Stephens, 8 - MEL Serong, 9 - CAR Ash, 10 - FRE Robertson. With this in mind, if Serong/Ash are still available at pick 8, do they get selected before Kemp?
  2. https://afl.draftcentral.com.au/2019/11/04/2019-afl-draft-guide-released/ AFL draft central have released their draft guide. Profiles on 130+ players and includes stats for U18 champs plus NAB/State leagues.
  3. On Monday I believe the AFL draft central website will release their Draft Guide which is a 130+ page document with expanded draft profiles and statistics for all combine invitees.
  4. Malcom Rosas Jnr is expected to be a late draft/rookie prospect. Kicked 2 goals in the Casey vs Australia U18s game earlier this year also.
  5. https://afl.draftcentral.com.au/player/lachlan-ash/ This website has excellent write ups for those who are interested. Couple of clangers early in the game but what I like is he appears to set up a lot of the play when Vic Country make their comeback. The kicks to Kemp and Serong late in the game is exactly what we've been missing.
  6. A fit Mitch Hannan is part of the solution
  7. 3. Young 8. Ash/Stephens/Flanders/Weightman Hope we don't take Serong and Weightman both sub 180cm. Download the NAB league app and you can watch player highlights game by game. Just watched Weightmans, wasn't overly impressed and think he'll need a good year or two development.
  8. So we head to the draft with picks 3, 8 and 97. Think we'll keep 3 unless GWS come to us with an offer we can't refuse on draft night. With 3 I think Young has more upside, could play wing/hbf next year. Using 8 on Weightman seems a big reach when most phantoms have him in the 15 - 30 range and one of Ash, Stephens, Kemp or Flanders will likely still be available.

  10. Wright signed a 3 year deal earlier this year, ooc 2022.
  11. Nope not mine just stumbled across them.
  12. Small forwards. Rioli and Ryan kicking goals and have set up most of the goals/scoring shots. Wingman. Gaff and Jetta gut running through the middle of the ground. Ruck/midfield coheasion. Natanui tapping to advantage and down midfielders throats. KPF. Kennedy, Darling and Waterman taking marks i50 and kicking straight. All the above are things the MFC lacked in 2019.
  13. Carlton have delisted Jarrod Garlett, Kym Lebois and Jarrod Pickett. None of which have set the world on fire but could be worth a rookie list spot.
  14. Must keep. Has improved year on year, thought he had some really good games in the second half. Slightly down on stats this year, but that's understandable when the team has performed so poorly. A fit and firing forward line with Mcdonald, Weiderman, Melksham and some new small forwards would do him wonders, allow him to spend more time in the midfield and rest forward. We can't lose talent if we want to get out the rut we found ourselves in this year.
  15. Not sure if either have been mentioned but surely we'd be looking at the below mature aged players from the state leagues. Matt Hammellman has kicked 60 + goals two years in a row in the NEAFL. Previously listed at Brisbane and delisted in 2017. 197cm strong marking forward. Liam McBean is leading the SANFL goal kicking this year with 46 goals from 17 games. 202cm forward, delisted by Richmond in 2016.
  16. List of players in our NT academy. NT Academy takes part in Michael Long Cup Two of the boys listed Tyrell Martin and Alonzo Nelson have been selected for the 2019 Flying Boomerangs Team. We also have Andy Moniz-Wakefield in the NT Thunder u16 team.
  17. Wow somehow we're getting worse
  18. I don't think so, we're not far away from a rebuild. I'd expect a decent clear out this year. Our list clearly doesn't have the quality we thought. We lack quality all over the ground and really need to get this draft right. Anyways, I'd be open to trading our 1st pick for 2 X 1st round picks i.e. Port 2018 picked up Rozee Butters and Durrsma with 5, 12 and 18. We could try for something like Ash, Stephens and a slider.
  19. The crux of it is, 2 games in 4 years. We're not the team for him. Too high risk. We need reliable and fit players to make us competitive again. Someone will give him another chance because he's got enormous talent but It won't be us.
  20. We can't afford Frost to be played anywhere else. May and Frost are our only defenders capable to play on opposition key forwards. I rate Lever highly, but he's never going to be a lockdown defender. Omac is gone at years end, Keilty likewise and Petty has shown more as a forward over the past few weeks. Fritsch forward is a must.
  21. I'm not even a McDonald hater, he's low on form. But, what a momentum killer missing that fairly straight forward shot. Rebound and Collingwood ice the game.
  22. Degoey is exactly the player Petracca should be.
