After McVee's game against Adelaide, the selection committee should've dropped him after his poor performance against Rankine. We have kept playing McVee to ensure his trade value is at the level we expect to receive in return if he decides to leave. It has been mentioned many times with players returning back to WA to play for Fremantle hasn't been the best decision in hindsight. Hogan, McCarthy, Lobb, Bennell and you can even mention Troy Longmuir as well. Longmuir was playing some great football in his 2nd year with Melbourne and wanted to go back to Fremantle.
